So as the title says, the government where I live finally got persuaded to shutdown all access to *********, which is huge let down, and though there remains some other torrenting sites that are yet open to the public, none are as good as *********.

So I was just wondering, If i were to download the TORRENT FILE ONLY(from *********) via VPN, and then run it on my torrent client without the VPN, will it run the same ?

I'm not sure how to solve it as I've never experienced it but you can always try using a proxy (google it if you don't know what it is). Or try 'hola unblocker' extension in the google chrome store (it lets you temporarily change your ip address to look like its from another country). ---> Don't worry the hola unblocker is safe and legal too.

I mean, if you ever were to live there you would realize how painful it is to lose the interent.

The country has almost zero forms of entertainment, so I stick to the web cuz I have no other choice.

It's only Saudi Arabia, besides they adhere to the words of their Lords from the west and especially the US because this country is a monarchy and the people have no say in anything, so no one would rise against such laws. No, not really. Its just Saudi Arabia that sucks, the rest is alright.

Its just that Dubai is really cool compared to other places there, but depends on how you like your tourism.
Dubai is filled with non-arabs and lacks any middleastern feel to it. It is a city, so if I were from outside the middle east, I would have preferred to see the culture of the people there. Try visiting Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, or Morocco if you want that.

Dubai is very cosmopolitan.
