So, you've come to learn Fire Release from me ? Understand it will be no walk in the park, it was one of the hardest elements to tame. Why don't want we start with the basics ? What do you know of the Katon element ?

Sweet well here goes

Fire Release is one of the basic elemental nature transformations. It is performed by moulding superheated chakra inside the stomach before releasing it via the lungs and mouth. There are also variants to this in the form of some mediums such as the use of gun powder, ash, explosive tags and chakra flow into a weapon. Fire is strong against wind because the air feeds the flames but weak against water because it cools and smothers them.

"Not bad, your current level knowledge on Katon is something to work with. I'll give you a run down of all of the basic elements (especially Katon), to flesh out your understanding. Make sure to commit this to memory, it will be useful knowledge for the future. Once you've read and understood the following, we will continue."

Fire Release is the usage of superheated chakra to create flames and heat-intensive attacks. Its created through channeling Katon chakra to the user's lungs and exhaling the built chakra in various forms. Katon is most commonly used in its fire-based form, but it can also take the shape of a plume of superheated ash or a misty flammable gas. In terms of raw potential, its considered the least versatile element as it excels in offensive capabilities, lacks in supplementary usage and is ill-suited to use as a defensive element. Despite this, Katon is the most ferocious element to contend with due to its sheer raw power. The heat of the element makes it capable of reducing earthen structures to molten mud, the parasitic nature of it means it preys on the oxygen within wind-based attacks to supplement the flames and even against its elemental superior, large-scale Katon techniques are capable of reducing large bodies of water to scorching mist of dense steam. The Katon element has little usage outside of destruction, to a certain degree its the hardest elemental nature to tame due to its sporadic and uncontrollable nature.

Wind Release is the element that allows us to create and manipulate wind. When you think of wind you think of something that is fast, free flowing, unpredictable, and strong. In the Narutoverse and in our RP, wind release has a variety of different properties which makes it versatile in its own right. For one, we have the ability to create long and short powerful gusts of flowing wind. Mainly these techniques that are designed to provide resistance against oncoming attacks, reversing the trajectory of weaponry, etc. We can also create short concentrated/compressed bursts of wind that give a pseudo solid form which can be used for blunt force or strong impacts. These would mainly be offensive in nature. There is also vacuum or suction power that can be generated, drawing objects in for close combat or sucking away the oxygen for suffocation. However, one of the more prominent abilities of wind release that we’ve come to know from the Narutoverse is the powerful cutting power that it possesses. Mainly from characters like Naruto, Asuma, and Sora, the wind nature has been shown to be able to slice and cut through things like butter. Wind is the movement of many gases in the air, though we’ve been shown to manipulate just the air itself and call it wind release by comparison due to the relationship.

Water is the most calm and free-flowing elements. These characteristics dictate its nature, making it useful in combat due to the fluidity and intense lack of control that is required to utilize it. Lightning and Fire take extreme control, but manipulation of water takes calmer movements and so controlling it comes more naturally. While its the calmest element, it can also become one of the most destructive. Putting a large amount of force behind of wave gives it power that can't be paralleled by all the other elements. In terms of scale, Water has the highest potential to be the "best" element, a clear testament of this is Kisame of the Akatsuki. Water comes in three main forms: normal water, sticky water and oily flammable water.

Lightning Release is the use of high frequency and is the most fleeting of all the elements. It arguably takes the most control due to its dangerous nature and the lethality it possess. The interaction of the molecules within it, further contribute to its level of instability, requiring the user to take much more care in handling this element compared to the others. Fundamentally, its the control over raw streams of electricity which can be tamed with the right control, it relates most to the Fire element due to its destruction if not contained or used properly and the high level of self-control someone requires to manipulate it correctly. One common misconception is that Lightning release travels as fast as natural lightning, when in reality Lightning is far slower than its naturally occurring counterpart due the user taking control of/taming the lightning. The element itself occurs in three main forms: Normal Lightning, Plasma and pale-blue pillars which emit electricity.

Earth Release is often considered the element of sturdiness and durability. Unlike other elements which come and go with time, it is an ever eternal presence in the environment which endures all types of weather regardless of how harsh conditions become. Earth can be used as a shield or blockade defensively to dissipate the force of powerful waves of water or non-cutting gusts of wind. It can withstand great heats, acting as a heat sink but also as a physical barrier to prevent weapons passing through. Its strong against water, its natural ability to prevent water from passing through it whilst passing through water itself is a reason for this. However its weak against lightning. The lightning conducted along the earth causes it to break up, lose its natural composition and break down due to the penetrative abilities of Raiton. Doton can either be used in this solid rocky form or its adhesive mud-like variant, granting the element further versatility. As well as the conventional uses of the element, the mud variant can be used to bind opponents in place, clash with other elemental jutsus or be used in many effective combinations. The mud-variant is most commonly used along with Fire to form pseudo-lava (molten mud), making for a very dangerous substance.

Along with Suiton, its versatility stems from the state of matter it naturally occurs in. Due to having physical substance, Doton can be shaped into various structures from defensive walls to jagged spikes, from an earth dragon to a single pillar of earth. Furthermore, in terms of terrain-based advantage, Doton can be used to manipulate the ground beneath and around the opponent, allowing for limitless potential in creating successful combos. I like to think of the element as the perfect balance between offensive, defensive and supplementary usage, as no confines exist on what the user can create.

Alright, now step forward and stand across those set up dummies in the corner. Begin focusing your Katon chakra into your lungs, building up a sizable amount of superheated chakra before exhaling the built chakra in the form of a small fireball which has a short range reach. The goal is to use the fireball to strike the dummy in the center, causing it to set it alight and allow the fire to spread to the two dummies either side of it.

Key Points: Range is key in techniques. Notice how its a short-range technique, so it has very limited use in most fights.

( Ryu Kaen Bakufuu ) - Dragon Flame Blitz

Description: The user shoots balls of fire at the opponent.

Replicating the same process as before, I want you to build up enough Katon chakra for a technique of a similar scale. After building up the chakra, I want you to divdie it up into equal portions and exhale a small barrage of fireballs this time, the collective power of the volley of shots equaling that of the small fireball you released earlier. Fire the individual shots with separate trajectories (flight paths) by angling your head, so to maximize the amount of dummies destroyed by the single technique.

Key Points: Same as before. One difference is, techniques which release barrages, volleys and etc divide up the chakra of the original technique evenly. An S-Rank which releases multiple blades of wind, will mean that collectively all of the blades amount to an S-Rank, and not each individual blade being S-Rank in power.

4 Blades = B-Rank


Key Points: Range is key in techniques. Notice how its a short-range technique, so it has very limited use in most fights.

Tech 1:
Black walks towards the 3 dummies and begins to start pushing around and develop his Katon chakra into his lungs he keeps pushing it around and heating it up second by second he begins to inhale large amounts of air and exhales swiftly blasting out a small fireball from his mouth towards the Middle dummie casting it into flames
Tech 2:
Black walks over to the fresh dummies next to the burnt ones next to them he moves on to focus his Katon chakra into his lungs swirling it around and around causing it to gain heat he then moves on to divide the chakra into 3 smaller groups he then begins to start inhaling and swiflty exhales shooting 3 small fireballs at each of the dummies causing them to catch fire

( Katon: Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Mist Blaze Dance Technique

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Snake → Ram → Monkey → Tiger, the user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. Once it comes in contact with fire or sparks, the gas ignites into a large fireball.

Turn to face the group of dummies next to the ones you just destroyed and perform the following sequence of four handseals. Knead your katon chakra into your lungs, but this time instead of exhaling it in the form of superheated flames, envision yourself blowing out a pale flammable mist capable of being ignited externally. Attempt to replicate this in reality, surrounding the group of stuffed figures in a volatile mist. Do not ignite just yet, you'll do so using the next jutsu.

Key Points: Take care when using this jutsu. Its not directly offensive, so the opponent could spin on you by igniting the mist prematurely (as you are spewing it).

( Kaen Shuriken Ranbu ) - Blazing Shuriken Dance

Description: The user will throw several shuriken at the enemy and then inflames them with fire to cause extra damage.

Now, retrieve several shuriken from your ninja pouch and toss them in the direction of the mist, before exhaling small fireballs which inflame the small tools to create a barrage of fire-coated weapons. On coming into contact with the flames, the mist should explode into a large maelstrom of fire, completely incinerating anything in its area of effect.

Key Points: Not a bad jutsu, however a better and more powerful B-Ranked version exists.

Black after performing a few hand signs Snake > Ram > Monkey > Tiger he strongly inhales and begins to focus the Katon chakra in his lungs into a massive amount of gas and very strongly and swiftly exhales out spreading the gas all over the field and surrounding the 3 dummys in front of him blocking view of them completely

Black retrieves 3 shuriken from his ninja pouch on his left leg, he throws them towards the mist and ignites them with a small fire jutsu causing them to catch on fire, as soon as they get 2cm away from the mist causing it to catch on fire and completely incinerate the dummies and the following ground surrounding it

( Katon no Jutsu ) - Fire Release Technique

Description: The user will release a small but powerful flame of fire at their opponent.

In a similar manner to before, I want you to envision the nature of Fire release before channeling your katon chakra to your lungs and exhaling the built chakra as a small but potent flame towards the opponent. The one difference about this technique is, the fireball is capable of traveling a further distance (maximum of 15 meters).

Key Points: None, very basic technique.

( Katon: Shōkasou ) - Fire Release: Small Fire Stream

Description: The user will create a small short flame at the opponent. This flame is capable of making the target collapse due to the heat of the technique. This technique requires no handseals.

Now, I want you to repeat the same process as before only this time releasing the built katon chakra from your mouth in the form of a continuous stream, rather than a projectile with no connection to you. For the whole duration of the technique you will maintain the stream, before canceling it.

Key Points: Stream type jutsu require the user to maintain them through its use. Meaning you cannot fuse a stream-based fire technique with another e.g. a wind Technique, unless you have a clone or ally. This is because, the moment you proceed to use your 2nd jutsu, the jutsu you were previously streaming will cease in its use.

( Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique

The fireball ignites externally.

For the final technique, I want you to perform this ridicuously long sequence of handseals *displays handseals* before inhaling air and gathering a large amount of fire chakra in your lungs, before making a ring with your thumb and index finger and exhaling the technique through the opening. The fireball will ignite externally, so you will not suffer damage from this technique. Direct the fireball towards that group of dummies.

Key Points: Long handseal sequences in battle (longer than 4-5) usually mean your technique may be too slow. Stick to quick techniques in short range and slower ones in long range.

Black begins to channel his Katon chakra into his lungs spinning it around more ferociously than before he takes a massive deep breath and exhales extremely fast causing a bigger fireball to breath out of his mouth than earlier he uses his control over the fireball to push it forward more towards the 2 dummies turning them into ash
Tech 2:
Black begins to channel Katon chakra back into his lungs but stretches it thin and exhales the extremely thin but strong fire in a ring surrounding the dummy, if the dummy was a person and stayed in their long enough the opponent could collapse due to excessive amount of smoke being produced
Tech 3:
Black begins to perform multiple hand signs
Snake → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger he channels a very large amount of Katon chakra into his lungs more than he ever has at first he finds it difficult but it becomes easier and easier by the second, feeling like he has gathered enough chakra he exhales the fireball with full force the fireball's size is twice the size of the fireball from before with almost double the power completely destroying the dummies.

( Katon: Kimuchi Amura ) - Fire Release: Wall of Flames

Description: The user first throws out a lighter that has an open flame.The user the turns the flame into a wall of fire used for protection or to burn small objects thrown towards him. This jutsu can be used with Hurricane Fist to create a combo jutsu.

For this first technique, you will need to purchase this lighter off me for a premium price of $4.99, before lighting it and tossing it in front of you (with its open flame intact). Focus your Katon chakra into the flame, turning it into a sizable wall of fire, which doubles as a useful offense and defense, causing the opponent to surface burn damage should they venture to close.

Key Points: The concept of this technique is interesting, useful for custom technique ideas.

( Katon: Hibashiri ) - Fire Release: Running Fire

After doing that, I'd like you to breath out a stream of fire which you will them manipulate to form several rings of fire on the ground around my clone, encasing him in a set formation, before using them to strike him to reduce him to a pile of ashes. If you know any wind jutsus, I'd like you to use a suitable C-Rank one to fuse with this technique, creating a larger more potent ring of fire.

Key Points: None really, a simple enough technique. The picture in the spoiler should clarify anything you want to know about it.

( Katon: Ryūka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique

Description: The user will perform four handseals Snake → Dragon → Rabbit → Tiger , and breathe fire along a cord or any other type of long object, which rushes forward in straight line catching the enemy on fire. A line of enemies can be used as the conductor as well. The flames are meant to target, and assault the enemy's upper body just like a projectile weapon.

For the third and final technique, I want you to reterive some ninja wire from your pouch and use it to ensnare those dummies from a distance, firmly wrapping it around them. After doing so, perform four handseals and compress your Katon chakra into your lungs before exhaling along the cords, allowing the fire to "run" along the wire and assault the opponent.

Key Points: Watch out, wrapping the opponent with wire or anything which connects you to them leaves you vulnerable to electrical currents. The wire would act as a good conductor of electricity, making it easy for your opponent to paralyze you from a distance.

Tech 1:
Black begins to channel a small amount of his Katon chakra into a lighter that he was handed by NK, he lights the lighter and infuses the chakra into it he places the lighter onto the ground and begins to focus, due to the fact that he placed chakra into the lighter he begins to spread the flame in both directions forming a large wall of flames around himself.
Tech 2:
Black begins to channel Katon chakra back into his lungs, he begins to focus and think about the shape that the Katon is going to take shape, he releases the Katon from his mouth but instead of having it form a fireball he turns it into a jet of Katon and run around the dummy trapping it in a circle of flames.
Tech 3:
Black walks up and ties the Dummy with one cord and bring the small amount left backwards a few metres, he channels the Katon chakra back into his lungs and while holding the string performs the hand signs, Snake > Dragon > Rabbit > Tiger, he inhales a small amount of air and lets out a small fire onto the string, its conducts the fire all the way to the dummy exploding into a massive fire, the dummy is turned into nothing but ash.

( Katon: Karyūdan ) - Fire Release: Fire Dragon Bullet

Description: The user exhales a flame breath from their mouth after making one handseal. This technique can be used in conjunction with Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet to ignite the projectiles fired by the latter technique, making it more devastating.

First off, I want you to form one handseal whilst envisioning the nature of the Fire element. Gather a sizable portion of your superheated katon chakra into your lungs before exhaling it as a breath of flames. If you know this technique's Earth counterpart (Earth Dragon Bullet), utilize it directly afterwards, causing the two attacks to merge together into a devastating stream of mud. If you do not possess the technique, my rock clone here will aid you by performing it on your behalf.

Key Points: Nothing special at all about this technique.

( Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique

Description: The user first performs six hand seals Rat → Tiger → Dog → Ox → Rabbit → Tiger and they create a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.

Now, here's the slightly upgraded version of a technique you attempted earlier. Perform a sequence of six handseals before focusing your katon-based chakra to your lungs. Exhale the built chakra as a volley of small fireballs, retrieving a few shuriken from your ninja pouch with your left hand and throwing them in the same direction as the fireballs. This will serve to conceal their presence, giving this attack a slight element of surprise. Both the flames and thrown shuriken can be controlled remotely through the use of chakra, allowing you to control their flight paths as they race towards the opponent.

Key Points:The six handseals is a big disadvantage for the technique, however overall its a decent addition to your arsenal.

( Katon: Honoo no Saigai Hi Kagayaku no Jutsu ) - Fire Release: Flame of Disaster Fire Shine Technique

Description: The user releases a flame of fire chakra that converges on the opponent wrapping around them and burning them.

Last but not least, for this technique I would like you to channel your fire chakra to your lungs before releasing it in the form of a small flame towards my clone, using it to wrap around him before inflicting severe burn damage.

Key Points: Straight forward technique, nothing to say here.

Tech 1:
Sasuke channels his Katon chakra into his lungs, he then performs a Dragon hand sign and inhales a large amount of air and exhales it rather quickly not releasing the flame from his mouth he produces a massive stream of fire almost like a flamethrower completely incinerating the test dummy into ash.
Tech 2:
Sasuke channels his katon chakra into his lungs into 6 seperate parts and the performs multiple hand signs, Rat > Tiger > Dog > Ox > Rabbit > Tiger and the spews out medium sized fireball one after another scattering around the test dummy hitting it from multiple angels destroying the test dummy.
Tech 3:
Sasuke begins to channel his Katon chakra into his lungs and spewing a very small fireball at Negative Knights clone but just before impact things and stretches out into a rope like flame that wraps around the clone constricting its movements and cuaisng it to get severe burns it eventually puffs into smoke

Now we'll move onto the techniques. For this portion of your training, we'll be using my self-regenerating C-Rank Water golem as your test subject. I'm sure you can guess why.

( Katon: Rakka Sanran Kasai ) - Fire Release: Falling Fire Scatter

Description: The user whilst in mid air will release from their mouth a series of small fire shots that rain down upon the target.

For this first technique, I want you to jump into the air whilst focusing your katon chakra into your lungs before exhaling the built chakra in the form of a series of small fire balls which rain down upon my water golem, causing him to partially evaporate and hence forming a cloud of thick steam which masks his exact position.

Key Points: You must be in mid-air to use this jutsu. Sometimes people forget this detail and misuse such techniques.

( Katon: Kitsunebi ) - Fire Release: Fire Whisp

Key Points: Another boring generic technique.

Tech 1:
Sasuke jumps up high into the air not taking his eyes off his opponent. Once high enough he channels seperate portions of Katon chakra throughout his lungs into 3 seperate parts after gathering the exact right amount Katon chakra he inhales and releases all the Katon chakra at once going from the golems legs, to chest and finally at his head.
Tech 2:
Sasuke lands back onto the ground still not taking his eyes off the enemy he again channels a very small amount of Katon chakra into his lungs once he has stored enough Katon chakra he hurls a small whisp of fire at his opponent it swiftly hits the water golem in the chest and expands completely igniting the golem in flames

Now that you're on B-Ranks, you will continue the rest of your training filling out the following template. Just to clarify, you will still perform the jutsus as well as fill out the template. Don't feel too concerned with making every template submission extremely detailed, some jutsus are more straight forward than others. However, for more unique and complex techniques, I expect a substantial level of detail. Also, don't be hesitant to ask questions about techniques. I remember when I was training, I'd sometimes avoid asking questions just so I could learn more techniques with my teacher's next post. Description: The user first performs seven handseals Ram → Horse → Snake → Dragon → Rat → Ox → Tiger and kneads chakra into flames, which are then manipulated into a genuine-looking dragon. The flames are divided to launch a left side, right side, and frontal assault in all three directions at once, turning the enemy into ash in a matter of seconds.

For this first technique, I'd like you to perform the handseal sequence of: Ram → Horse → Snake → Dragon → Rat → Ox → Tiger before focusing your katon chakra to your lungs. Envision the fire you spew out to emerge in the shape of a genuine-looking dragon before doing so in reality. As you release the flames, divide them into three equal portions, which continue towards the dummies in the corner as a group of smaller dragons. Each one will take a slightly different trajectory/flight path, one will curve off to the right, one will curve off to the left and the final one will take a straightforward linear path towards the dummies.

Key Points: The power of the technique is equally divided between the released dragons, collectively they amount to the power of a B-rank. Though I'm sure you're familiar with this concept already

Description: The user shoots multiple fire shots from their hands that are able to cause fiery explosions on impact with any object. The shots can't set the opponent on fire, though they can cause damage by exploding on him.

I like the concept of the following technique, since its a nice change from simply exhaling fire from your mouth. Focus your katon chakra to your hands and aim them towards the dummy in the distance. After doing so, release the built chakra in the form of a quick moving barrage of small shots which come directly from your palms. The difference between these fireballs and ordinary ones, is that rather than burning on impact they explode.
