Alright. One of my favorite techniques, and it's variations are the most spammed techniques in the Naruto manga. xD
Firstly, the user gathers a good amount of chakra and focuses it in the palm of his dominant hand(mine being right). While the chakra is being focused, the user also simultaneously condenses the chakra, after which he makes his chakra "spin" in a circular manner. However, the direction of the spin is determined by the swirl on the back of the user's head. If it's a left swirl, then it spins anticlockwise, and if it's a right swirl, it spins clockwise. The chakra takes the colour of yellow(going with Kishi's canon manga drawings) after it is materialized, and forms a spinning ball of yellow chakra, that spins violently. The speed of the rotation of the chakra and it's compacted nature causes the Rasengan to inflict blunt force damage wherever it touches, basically grinding the target, launching them spirally backward on impact. A basic Rasengan possesses no elemental affinity and was devised by Minato by carefully watching the Tailed Beast Ball. It's shape transformation, aka spatial recomposition(I prefer this word) taken to the highest level. Because of Naruto's low intelligence, it was taught to him in 3 steps, by Jiraiya, using multiple water balloons and a rubber ball. This step is necessary since one has to perfect their rotation of chakra, to keep the chakra spinning inside the Rasengan intact. Loss of control could alter the spinning speed and simply the Rasengan would vanish. Precise chakra control is required, since a massive amount of chakra in condensed in the sphere.
Okay. I take out a single softball sized water balloon and hold it in the palm of my right hand(dominant hand). I then curl my palm a little upwards so as to point the balloon towards me, but not firmly so as to burst it. As the balloon is held by me properly, I gather a good amount of chakra and focus it on my palm, taking care not to send all the chakra at once towards the balloon. I slowly send a stream of chakra towards the centre, as I imagine "rotating" my chakra in my mind. I try it for 3 times, but nothing happens. The fourth time, I close my eyes, and calm myself down, as my only focus is my objective. Once more, I imagine spinning my chakra, and this I successfully make my chakra spin in a clockwise manner. As I practise it several times, I slowly learn how to spin my chakra in various directions, namely diagonally, left, right, upwards, downwards, as if the movements where that of electrons in an atom. The chakra slowly gains speed, as the spinning of the chakra in different directions all at once, with an increase in speed and force, causes the water balloon to burst from all directions on my palm, as what's only left is water that drenches down from my palm towards the ground, as the pieces of the balloon remain upon my palm.
