Minato Namikaze, makes his way towards the training grounds, where yet another young student waits for him. He had to teach the extensive Ninjutsu once more. This time, Minato was going to take a different approach. He just hoped his student was ready for it. With his ANBU attire, and a few FTG kunai strapped to his leg, Minato arrives.
"Hello there, young man. Judging by the symbol on your clothes, you are from the Nara clan. This means you must be very knowledgeable.. I am Minato Namikaze, and you are?"
Minato then takes a few steps forward, as he clears his throat.
"Tell me everything you know about Ninjutsu. What it is about? What does it mean in the NarutoVerse? And here in the RP? Use as much detail as you can."
Minato then waits for his young student to answer him.

Shikamaru sees Minato sensei enter the training ground and says to Minato sensei that has come to train him,"wow I get the legendry yellow flash to train me? im honoured sensei" and smiled. Shikamaru hears what Minato sensei says to him and thinks for a couple of seconds. Ninjustu meaning ninja techniques can be almost any and all techniques but excludes genjustu and taijutsu. in our rp I have mostly seen it used for summoning, now summoning from my knowledge is split into two parts you have your animals which is a summoning contract which you have to sign in order to summon that creature type and summoning scrolls which allow a ninja to summon weapons that they have stored into scrolls. The more complex ninjutsu manipulate one's surroundings or utilise the elements, respectively serving such tasks as healing others or manipulating nature transformations.
Shikamaru awaited for a reply of Minato sensei he has heard from story's that he is extremely kind and did take shape transformations to its highest form.

Minato listened to the young Nara clan member. He understood quite a lot about Ninjutsu, but Minato deemed it necessary to add his own part.
"That is alright, let me add a bit. Ninjutsu can be accomplished in two different ways: Either through focusing or molding chakra. Focusing deals with using your willpower to make something happen, and then molding is giving the chakra a certain characteristic like for example, Fire or Earth chakra. Chakra flow is continuous, always in motion, but if needed, it can be manipulated. Thus something can be produced if needed be.
Now, molding the chakra is done in two ways: Shape Manipulation and Nature Transformation."
Minato goes on to explain the fundamentals of Ninjutsu.
"Shape manipulation is the ability to give your chakra a desired form while Nature transformation is the ability to give your chakra a desired set of characteristics/properties. Hand seals are usually used to achieve this. What are hand seals you ask? Hand seals are simply hand gestures that allow the ninja to more easily concentrate and mold the chakra into the desired technique. That is the basis of Ninjutsu."

With his student ready, Minato moves on. Ninjutsu was known to be one of the longest fields to teach, and so, Minato had thought of another method to teach his second student in the art of Ninjutsu.
"Alright, I am trying a new method with you. Due to the large number of techniques in Ninjutsu, I will be:

- Method #1: I will be explaining the technique with great detail, and you will only ask me questions on the technique and telling me how you would use it in battle.
- Method#2: You have to perform the technique, give me at least two advantages and disadvantages, how you would use it in battle. If you have questions, be sure to ask.
Minato creates a clone that runs towards Shikamaru.
Shikamaru quickly processed the information Minato sensei was giving him about how his training was going to proceed, he was very happy that his sensei was trying to find very good ways to train him to his max potential. Shikamaru politely smiles and says "okay Minato sensei". Then Shikamaru gathers charka into his mouth and uses shape manipulation to shape his charka into needles and uses nature manipulation to give his charka steel property's of needles. As Minatos clone approach's him, Shikamaru fires the needles out his mouth and hits the clone making it disperse.
advantages the advantages are you can surprise attack the opponent by shooting the needles out your mouth and they wouldn't able to see you fire this, Another advantage of this is that it is very quick to perform.
disadvantages I cannot think of a disadvantage for this technique.

Listening to his student, Minato could see he was merely starting. One of the important parts of training, is to always think outside the box without the fear of being wrong. That's why it's training. Minato smiles as Shikamaru answers, knowing that he had to help the boy a little. It was no issue, as it was only their first technique together. Minato throws a scroll towards Shikamaru, which contained the technique he just learned (my RP way of explaining why I post the technique).
"The performance was good, and the advantage is alright too. The disadvantage of this technique is that it can only be used in Short Range of the opponent, increasing the potential that the opponent could evade and retaliate with a powerful attack, allowing for very little space to evade. You also forgot to add how you would use it in battle. The technique is best used when you are concealed and close range, in order to deliver an accurate shot aimed at a vital spot of the opponent like the neck. Keep these in mind, even during a Taijutsu fight would it be beneficial. Other than that, here is the technique you just learned."

Shikamaru smiles knowing that he just got praised by his new sensei, Shikamaru launch's a giant windmill Shuriken towards Minato sensei clone and then quickly throws a giant windmill Shuriken using his charka in the shadow of the first.
advantages opponent cannot see the second giant Shuriken so it would surprise them, another advantage is how fast this is performed as no handseals is need you just need to throw two giant Shuriken and use charka on the second to hide it in the shadow of the first
disadvantages because it is normal weapons they could be stopped easily by an opponent ready for it by making a wall to block the Shuriken or use a wind blast to blast the weapon back at you also getting the second Shuriken
I would use this in a battle I would use this in a battle when the opponent is running towards me and this would throw them off guard as they will only expect the first Shuriken

Shikamaru performed his second technique better, than his first. Minato smiled, knowing that this kid was going to work hard to finish off his Ninjutsu training, which is one of the taxing training sessions one can find in a shinobi's life, but extremely crucial. Nonetheless, Minato threw a scroll towards Shikamaru, so they could continue.
"That's good, it's a sneaky technique, and although I never used it, I can see it in various combinations. Here you go."
"Okay, now the next technique isn't used widely. It's a technique used to hold an animal ( like a summoning or so ), in its place. You start off by focusing your chakra on said animal, and it will be constricted, though it is broken by strong animals and when you stop concentrating on it. This limits it's use and it can't really be used in battle that efficiently. Basically, don't use this technique unless it's for RP purposes or something. Now, try it on a summoning of mine."

Shikamaru catch's the scroll, looking at his new teacher he begins to think that this guy is cool and an excellent teacher and knows he is going to give him the best knowledge in this area.
Shikamaru opens and reads the scroll and then sees the box jellyfish, Shikamaru begins to gather charka and focuses it on the jellyfish binding it into place restraining it and constricting it into place, Shikamaru was use to this as it was similar to his clans hidden ability expect it done with charka and not shadows.
advantages can hold large animals into place and stop them from attacking and constricting them into place, also can be used on multiple animals making herds of animals easy to stop and then do what you wish.

As they went further, Shikamaru became more confident and thus answered better each time. This allowed them to move forward quickly, and make training quite comfortable. Minato then looks at Shikamaru as he answers the questions and analyses the technique. With a simple flick, Minato tosses a scroll towards him.
"That's good, and indeed. The technique is only useful in a RP sense in my opinion. Anyway, here is the technique you just learned."
"Now, the next technique is an odd one. We'll be doing method 1 for this one. An interesting technique, called Killing Intent, because that's exactly what it is. The technique starts off by using your pure killing intent, through the use of chakra, to actually cause the opponent to be physically paralyzed for a while. Killing Intent can cause the opponent to see visions of their death, cause pain etc, due to the intent and chakra involved. It's basically like feeling the user of this technique's feelings towards you in a sense. It is usually initiated by concentrating on your target and using your chakra to imitate the effects of your killing intent on the opponent. Now there are several factors that determine the strength of the Killing Intent and it's effects upon the opponent:

So if I am a Sage and you are a Kage, that would be the effect. Basically used to cause the opponent to mess up on a hand seal. Remember though, the closer you are, the more effective the Killing Intent would be.
This would happen if I were a Sage and you a Genin or S-Class, so tread carefully against a more powerful opponent should you be of lower rank. Lastly, Killing Intent can be countered with your own Killing Intent, mind cleansing techniques or pain. So, just ask any questions if you have any, if not, we will continue."
Shikamaru looks oddly at his teacher this technique is indeed strange but useful if used right, he said to Minato " This would obviously vary how I use it in battle if the opponent was two ranks below me I would use it to paralyse them into place like orochimaru did to sasuke and sakura and then throw a kunai at them to kill them but if they was of equal I wouldn't really use it as it can only hinder them or make them drop their weapon."
Shikamaru paused to catch his breath briefly and was thinking this was such a drag but is worth it in the end so he had a few questions for his sensei which he then asked after catching his breath " so if I used it on opponent same rank as me it would always make them hesitate/ drop their weapon im unsure on this and that's it sensei" Shikamaru smiled at Minato as he awaited an answer.
Shikamaru paused to catch his breath briefly and was thinking this was such a drag but is worth it in the end so he had a few questions for his sensei which he then asked after catching his breath " so if I used it on opponent same rank as me it would always make them hesitate/ drop their weapon im unsure on this and that's it sensei" Shikamaru smiled at Minato as he awaited an answer.

Shikamaru understood the technique with ease, which made things fluid. This allowed Minato to go on, as there was still a lot of techniques left ahead. Minato threw another scroll at him, this one was a bit thicker than the last due to the large amount of text in it. Minato then smiled as he continued.
"Okay, good. Now, here is the technique you just learned."
"Now for the next technique we will be doing method 2 again. The technique starts off by using your chakra to create a swarm of Sakura petals (Cherry blossoms). These Sakura petals will surround and swirl around the opponent, causing confusion and blinds the opponent's eyes for the turn in which this is used. This allows you to attack the opponent whilst they are blinded/confused. Use it against my clone."

Without wasting any time, Shikamaru quickly gave his analysis on the technique at hand. It was simple, but so was the technique too. This allowed them to move forward at a faster pace any way, as Minato threw another scroll towards him. It seemed like they had just started a few minutes ago, but they had already covered a few techniques.
"That's alright, here you go."
"Now the next technique will require the usage of method 2. The technique is a simple weapon based one, which starts off by launching several kunai towards the opponent. This kunai has several pouches attached to it, and upon impact, the pouches explode and release small explosive notes. These small explosive notes rain down on the opponent, where the opponent will then launch one last kunai, with an active explosive note. This explosive tagged kunai will cause all those small explosive notes to explode in one large explosion, damaging the opponent. Use it on my clone."

Shikamaru was happy that he was moving through the technique's at a fast pace, Shikamaru sees Minatos clone run towards him so Shikamaru takes several kunai tagged with small pouch's which have small explosive notes hidden within. as a large amount of these small note disperses from the pouch's they shadow on the clone on Minato as this happens Shikamaru instantly takes a final kunai tagged with an activate explosion tag as it burns he throws it and it ignites the other smaller notes showering down on the clone. Causing a gigantic explosion making the clone disperse.
advantages the advantages of this technique is that you can block the vision of the opponent as the tags fall down and then get ignited, causes a gigantic explosion from some small explosion notes.
disadvantages the disadvantages of this technique is that the kunai can be blown away by a wind justu or activated near you with a fire justu, another is that you need to throw the active explosive tag after the kunai tagged with the pouch's which conceal the small explosion tags.
