Sorry for the late reply mate.

The analysis was good, and Minato was happy. His student was quite good, although they were in the starting stages of Ninjutsu. It was extremely long to go through, but Minato had all the time in the world. He wasn't going to waste time, he had to teach this guy everything about Ninjutsu that he knew, it was one of his most used fields anyway.

"Very good, here you go."

"With this next technique, we'll be using method 1. The technique is quite simple, but extremely useful, if your opponent doesn't meta-game. Now, through the use of chakra and the performance of the Ram hand seal, you will project your voice to another part of the battlefield. This would totally confuse your opponent, and cause him to be quite baffled as to where you are. This works extremely well with hiding in the mist technique, which already causes the opponent to lose sight of you, now you can even make a sound that will make him believe you are in another place. This technique can work up to Long range, so its uses are limitless to say the least. You can make certain sounds too, though it has to be within normal limits as to what sounds you could make in real life. Overall interesting technique and easy to use."

right so I would use this in battle too confuse the opponent and only when im hidden like in a mist as you stated or when im hidden, also the long range of the technique is great I don't know if I would use this a lot in battle as it seems it would be better for RP purposes. though it could still be great if you have a clone to the area you throw your voice and make the enemy engage the clone while you sneak on him or do whatever you need to do.

can this be used underground as your only allowed no handseals and doton charka?

Minato listens to his student, who had a question about the technique. It was one of Minato's favorite techniques actually, and so he could easily answer the question posed to him.

"Well, I would say no. Unless it specifically states you can use Ninjutsu underground, I wouldn't use it. Anyway, if you don't have any questions on the technique, we can move on."

"Now we'll use method 2 again. The next technique is one best used with Hiding Mist jutsu. The technique revolves around the usage of chakra to mask your presence, sound and make you a bit more fluid. Once inside the mist, and having used your chakra, you are actually capable of dispatching an opponent in the blink of an eye (not literally). So basically, focus your chakra into making you more stealthy and silent, then attack the opponent from his blind spot. Use it on my clone."

Minato creates a clone that runs towards his student.

Shikamaru gathers suiton charka and focuses it in his lungs and then expels a thick mist from his mouth to shroud and mask his movement while Minato sensei clone is distorted, Shikamaru quickly comes behind the clone without making sound; he grabbed a kunai and then dispatched the clone away from this world before he knew what happened.

advantages- can use in conjunction with hidden mist technique making this technique better and more effective, can kill the opponent without even making a sound

disadvantages- is hard to use in plain sight of the opponent as they can see you move and figure out your plan or line of attack, if you are using the mist and try most opponent

I wouldn't use this against most opponents as they would know what I was doing, so I guess I would use this against lower opponents then me; instead of using high rank justu which they cannot defend from and one shotting them

Shikamaru then once again does the technique well, and as such, Minato continues. The training was a breeze, and Minato quickly got a scroll and threw it towards Shikamaru. He then continued.

"That's good, here you go."

"Alright, now I want to try a new like approach. I want you to analyse the technique for me as best as you can, combining the advantages of the techniques, the disadvantages of it and even what you can do with it. A new style, as I want to cover more techniques, but allow you to understand the techniques better. So here we go.

The first technique is simple, where the user of the technique will release a smoke bomb towards the opponent. Whilst in the cover of the smoke, you will lay down makibishi and cause the opponent to step on them when trying to come towards you. Simple, what do you think about it?

The second one, revolves around using a black rope and infusing it with chakra. This rope can then be used to bind the opponent in place, Not very practical but can be used creatively.

Lastly, creating a clone through the use of chakra. These clones are intangible though, so they can't really do much. They can however, be used for distraction and for easy communication. They can't cause damage and doujutsu users can see through it."

Shikamaru sees Minato throw the scroll at him, he catch's it and reads the content of the next techniques, a new approach you say? I like it sensei mixing it up a little bit

The advantages of the first technique is unless the opponent has a dojustu they wouldn't able to see you lay the makibishi down also the uses of the makibishi can vary such as using their main purpose to hurt and slow down the ninja that stands on them or you can use them to trap a ninja inside them by placing them around the ninja(of course not with these technique) or lay them down and then as the opponent approach's use a wind blast to send them flying at the opponent attacking his full entire body with makibishi.The disadvantage of this technique is the opponent would able to see the smoke and wonder what you are doing and probably use an elemental attack to attack you anyway. I think this is a handy justu to slow down kenjustu and taijutsu users as they would have to avoid the makibishi or their attack will be messed up but beside this I think it would be very hard to use this technique.

The second is very straightforward also as you use a black rope infused with your charka to hold down your opponent, I guess the advantage of this technique is you can hold down multiple opponents with the rope. but the disadvantages of this technique is If the opponent is strong he wouldn't be restrained to the extent of a genin and also would most likely be able to break out the rope easily. I guess I would use this for rp purposes such as missions mostly, but I would use it creativity in battle as you stated if I got the chance.

The final technique is a bit more complicated then the other two but has a few more uses though they cannot attack/harm the opponent, they can be used to distract an opponent or fool the opponent into thinking it is the real you. This would be great in conjunction with the hidden mist technique as unless the opponent had a bykugen they wouldn't be able to see through the mist or see it was a image of you.The disadvantages of this technique is obviously they cannot harm your opponent and they don't replicate the charka system or inside organs so dojustu users can see through it with ease. I would use it in battle to fool the opponent as this is handy to set up a ambush but it is also very handy for rp purposes like communicating to people and asking question without being in their line of sight.

He quickly adjusted himself to the new style that Minato had thought of. So with that in mind, Minato thought it was best if they kept it going for the next few techniques as most were quite easy to explain anyway.

"Well done, here you go."

"Alright, we'll keep going with the method I just used. I think you are doing well with it, as it makes the techniques easy to understand too. Now the first technique is quite simple, with a Demon Shuriken in hand, you will launch one towards your opponent and then through the use of chakra, cause it to be enlarged tremendously. This allows for some sudden shock and quick execution, as you can literally enlarge it when it is close to the opponent. What do you think?

After that, you will use your chakra to release a large amounts of kunai towards the opponent in a consecutive mannerm like a barrage. I believe this technique was used by Tenten against Temari, so it is basically a very physical attack. Not one of my favorites to be honest.

Lastly, and also the last D rank technique, you will have elastic and durable string attached to shuriken, which is quite translucent. This string allows you to manipulate said shuriken in any manner once it has been thrown. Say the opponent manages to dodge the shuriken, you can use the string to attack the opponent from behind with it. A really nice technique with infinite possibilities in terms of movement (If you want to see great usage of it, Hard used it in the MS tournament against Rock Lee, it's somewhere in the battle test section.) Try it out."

Shikamaru had no problem about continuing this learning method, He listens to Minato sensei and begins performing his next techniques.

Shikamaru takes a smallish Demon Shuriken in his hand as Minato sensei instructed and then Shikamaru launched it at the nearby dummy, as it closed in to the dummy Shikamaru uses his charka to enlarge the demon shuriken which causes it to become a massive large shuriken that would surprise the dummy if it was alive. I think this could be handy if used correctly but it is also very easy to counter nearly any wind counter would suffice to counter this.

Shikamaru listen to Minato and he could tell he didn't like this technique from the tone in his voice, Shikamaru releases a large amount of kunai towards the dummy again they rain down onto the dummy like a large barrage of kunai that rip that kunai to shreds.

Shikamaru was pleased he was on his last D rank technique and listen to what his sensei said he took 4 shuriken that was already attached to thin colourless threads that would make the dummy if he was real not be able to see them easy, he throws all four of them at different angles two aimed at the dummy shoulders but slightly above, the other two at the knees, but each about a few mm to the left and the other a mm to the right so if the dummy dodge the shuriken, Shikamaru would be able to manipulate the shuriken to wrap around what they was aimed at which he does each individual shuriken wrapping the shoulders and knees causing the dummy to fall to the ground and restricting his movement. Shikamaru could then follow up with another attack and finish it off if the dummy was an opponent.

Without any problems, Shikamaru quickly performed the techniques and analyzed them. A simple procedure, yet efficient. Without any qualms about the way Shikamaru did it, Minato got three scrolls and threw them. The C ranks were next.

"Alright, that's good. Here you go."

"Alright, let's tackle the next batch. The first technique allows you to use your chakra to hide a tag, inside an inanimate object like a wall or so. The tag can be an explosive tag, a sealing one etc. The more tags that are hidden, the larger the amount of chakra used. Can be detected by sensory or doujutsu though. How would this technique benefit you in battle?

After that, jump in the air, and use your chakra to spin at high speeds and release a large amounts of weapons towards your enemy. These weapons can range from shuriken to kunai etc. Not really a very useful technique as even D rank Wind can counter it, but eh.

Lastly, pull out a scroll and rotate it around yourself. As you do so, use your chakra to release several metal spiked balls that will strike nearby opponents and discourage close range enthusiasts. If you like using weapons, then this is the technique for you. All easy techniques, though do try and use as much detail on analysis. Go!"

Shikamaru sees he is moving on to stronger and better technique's which pleased him very much, he listened to Minato sensei and began to think of an answer to give him, this would be very great and useful in a battle inside a building which then you can put explosive tags inside support pillars and then use them when you wish if your opponent doesn't notice and then attack them making them concentrate on you then the tags. exploding them when the opponent least suspects it and bring the full building down but then your ready for making a defence to survive it. you could also you the explosive as a trap and plant them in the ground so when the opponent is about to run over them to set them off and they will have little time to react to this.

Shikamaru listens to sensei and begins to sprint out of range of him so he wouldn't get hit by the technique, he jumps into the air gathering his charka using this to spin at a really fast pace. releasing a lot of shuriken which spread at very quick pace around the surrounding area all over 360 degrees. I don't like this technique personally either sensei due to it being very easy to counter.

Shikamaru sighs as he didn't like this technique either it wasn't one he would use often if not at all, but all technique's have they usefulness, also it was nice that the technique could delay taijutsu or kenjustu users away from him, he took out a scroll and sprinted for a short burst. Shikamaru then jumped into the air and releases the scroll that twirls around him then releasing spiked metal balls, that plummeted down to the ground. this could be useful in certain situations such as close combat fighters actually come and fight in CQC.

Without any problem, they continued. Minato had gotten his fast pace back, and Shikamaru wasn't slowing down either. They both were at full throttle, and the techniques blew past them.With a quick flick, Minato threw the scrolls towards Shikamaru.

"Very good, Shikamaru. Here you go."

"Alright, now let's move on to the next batch. The first technique starts off by using two scroll and unrolls them beneath the opponent or towards the opponent in close range. Then using your chakra, you will summon a large amount of weapons from said scrolls which will launch the opponent into the air. From the scrolls, chains will then be released and they will grab the opponent by their legs and pull them down with great force into the ground.

After that, use a scroll and spin it around yourself once again. You will then use your chakra to turn the scroll into a giant hammer with a metal ball at the end of it. The opponent is then attacked with said weapon (whole move is done in close range) and afterwards, it turns back into a scroll.

Lastly, through the usage of two scrolls, you will summon a large amount of kunai which are then launched towards the opponent. However, these kunai are special as they are connected by strings to the users hands for mobility and movement."

Shikamaru noticed his sensei had picked his pace up like he used to be, he was very pleased as this benefits both of them; he caught the scroll his sensei thrown to him.

Shikamaru takes two scrolls that was in his ninja pouch and then unrolls them just in front of him 5 meters ahead so if an opponent was running he would be able to send them flying into the air because of the large amounts of weapons would be emerging and flying up from the scroll, as the opponent would be in the air a ball with chains attach will wrap around their legs and send them crashing to the ground.

Shikamaru then takes another scroll from his ninja pouch as he did before, Shikamaru unrolls the scroll and then channels his charka into the scroll as he also did before. the scroll twirls around him and then the scroll turns into a giant hammer with a metal ball attached at the end of it, Shikamaru grabs the hammer and if the opponent was there he swings the hammered down with both hands causing the ground to smash.

Shikamaru was getting tired of using scrolls he thought to himself as he took out another two scrolls he unrolls them infront of himself again, he summons not a mass of weapons this time but just solely a large mass of kunai which also had strings attached which Shikamaru had held of but made it look that his fingers and hands was just normal sitting there hanging loose looking like they are not doing anything

Shikamaru slacked a bit down, by not adding the advantages and disadvantages of the techniques. As such, Minato asked him to add them, so they could move on. The techniques were quite easy from here on out, so he knew they would finish soon anyway.

Shikamaru had one of his lazy moments then but he assured Minato sensei it wouldn't happen again, the first technique the advantage's is that it first releases a barrage of weapons from the scroll which knocks the opponent into the air then produces a chain with a ball attached so it wraps around the opponent and sends him crashing to the ground, another advantage is that it is just a scroll that needs to be release as everything is already pre done. The weakness is it could be very easy to counter and dodge one by a quick dash to the right or left or simply using a wind technique to blow them away.

Shikamaru quickly analyses the other two technique's processing all the strengths and weakness the second technique is useful in close combat as the scroll will turn into a giant hammer this can be used for various purposes such as using it to defend an incoming projectile or using it offensively to strike something or someone, Another advantage is that it is just a scroll that needs to be release as everything is already pre done just like the last technique which all three are quite similar. The weakness of this one is the hammer might be big but it could be easily blocked by something else or even dodge if the opponent is quicker then you by dashing to the right and left or even jumping over you.

Shikamaru moved onto the last technique quickly and began to analyse it quickly like the last, but this last technique had a useful ability unlike the last two. This scroll which is already pre made and summons a mass of kunai which all have strings attached to them allowing the user to manipulate them more making them harder to dodge and counter especially if they pass the opponent on purpose then while he is focusing on the kunai in front of him, the kunai behind him get tugged and thrown into his back. The disadvantage again is the opponent uses a wind technique he would blow the kunai with the strings away making it useless

He quickly apologized and gave his analysis of the techniques. Minato then smiles and reaches into his bag, he grabs the scrolls and throws them towards his student. The young Nara was getting far with Ninjustu.

"Alright, that wills suffice. Here you go."

"Now the next technique, you will once again use a scroll. From the scroll, you will insert your chakra into it and from it, summon a long chain that wraps around the opponent. Once the opponent is trapped with the chain, you will use another scroll to release a large amount of weapons.

After that, use your chakra to take on the properties of any Earthen material you touch, and harden any part of your body to said material. You can also turn into fine grains of rock, but the thing is, the properties you take on comes with it's strengths and weaknesses.

Lastly, use normal ninja based nails and launch them into the air. The nails will then land on a new position and then dig into the very Earth. Once the opponent crosses there, the nails will constrict their movement, then with a single hand seal, hundreds of nails will shoot towards the opponent from the ground."

Shikamaru wanted to get to better technique's fast but also be skilled in the lesser ones as well, this was such a drag he listened to Minato sensei who seemed not to be annoyed with him in the slightest for slacking a tiny bit on the last techniques, he was a great sensei.

Shikamaru took another scroll from his ninja pouch and inserts his charka into it like instructed by his sensei, he ran towards the nearby dummy and released the scroll which a chain emerged and wrapped around the opponent, Shikamaru then quickly takes out another scroll and undo the scroll it which releases a barrage of weapons that shoots at the opponent killing him as they are all very real

Advantages- you can bind the opponent which render him useless from moving around, and then follows up with another scroll which releases a large amount of weapons aimed at them. also this wont take very long to complete and no handseals also due to them being scrolls.

Disadvantage- the first one is being that you have to use scrolls which can be blown away easy also what emerges out of them as well making them useless, also this is a two step move meaning you first have to bind the opponent and then attack him with a barrage of weapons

Shikamaru moves quickly onto the next technique and analyses it very quickly even for him it seemed simple enough, he takes out a steel kunai and touch's it gaining the properties of the kunai gaining the properties like conducting electricity and rusts if soaked in water for too long but also being able to get cut with equal materials or even denser.

Advantages- you can gain the properties of any earthen materials you touch which is a great benefit to you as they is a wide range of properties gaining the elemental bonuses but on the downside the weakness of the said material, but this can be ace as you can change it once you counter the current technique also it seems this happens very quickly and no handseals required which is even better.

Disadvantages- the big disadvantage of this technique is that you gain the weakness of the earthen element you decide to take and use and this could be a great defect to you but can be dropped easily.

Shikamaru takes normal ninja nails (see what I did their alliteration

) and throws them into the ground in front of him where the dummy is running towards him, once the dummy is about to cross over the nails this restricts his movement not allowing him to move fast over the nails. Shikamaru then makes a single handseal which then shoots a barrage of nails up at the opponent which would damage him badly.

Advantage- this is good to slow down taijutsu and kenjustu users and if they continue they would get caught and then you only have to make a single handseal to multiplies them which would most likely kill them and if not badly wound them, this would be very quick due to only one handseal being made and the technique would work very quick also.

Disadvantage- the ninja spikes will get spotted easy by most ninja and most likely blown away to just be safe as they don't know what you will plan, even so the ninja would most likely go around them if spotted making this a waste of a move and now open for a counter

Shikamaru properly analysed each technique given to him, and this brought joy to Minato. He was glad to see that his student put in some effort, even for the menial techniques which were quite easy overall. However, no matter how simple a technique might seem, it can still be useful in some way or another. Two more scrolls fly through the air towards Shikamaru.

"Great job, keep it up!"

"Alright, the next technique is also done with nails. Through the use of chakra, the user will create a small amount of nails taht can be shot from your mouth. These nails can then travel quite some distance towards the opponent. If used in close range, can be aimed to hit a vital spot, like an artery on the neck perhaps. Useful but simple.

After that, a technique shown in Chuunin exams arc. The technique starts off by launching an umbrella into the air, however, this umbrella is equipped with springs and a large amount of senbon. Once the umbrella gets in the air, it releases all these senbon simultaneously and in all directions. This makes it quite difficult to dodge, given their small size and wide range.

Lastly, bring out two scrolls and lay them out before you. Using your chakra and the necessary hand seals, these scrolls will start to ascend in a spiralling manner around you. You will then launch yourself upwards and summon a mass amount of weapons from these scrolls through the use of chakra, and launch them towards the opponent. Should the first attempt fail, you can use the wires that run from each weapon, to pull them back into the air, in order to attack the opponent again. Another one of those summon with the scroll, and weapons type of techniques. Not very practical, but nice to use when given the opportunity."

Shikamaru catch's the scrolls and read the contents within, Minato sensei seemed please which was good he wasn't fed up with him yet which was a really good sign. Shikamaru then listened to what he would be another technique with nails he has now moved from just scrolls to nails which aggravated him more repeating the same stuff but Minato sensei made sure he was well versed in all the ninjustu techniques.

Shikamaru takes out some more nails and through the use of his charka that can be fired some distant at the he keenly aimed the majority of the nails to pierce through the targets heart reducing the amount of movement he would have due to the pain and the others just at the general torso area.

Advantages- If in close range they can be fired very quick which would allow the opponent very little time to respond, giving them at a disadvantage while you plan your next move also due to the fact of them being normal nails they can also travel with great speed which is also a bonus.

Disadvantage's- due to them being ordinary nails they could easily be stopped with an earth wall, blown away with a simple wind technique or even washed away with a suiton technique and putting you on the defensive at the same time while losing the advantage you have. Also due to them being metal if some one had magnetism they could be manipulated and used against you.

Shikamaru moved on quick to the next technique and analysed it fast it seemed that this technique was pretty simple to understand, Shikamaru takes out a modified umbrella and launch's it into the sky. When it reach's it peak the umbrella then releases a barrage of senbons in large amounts down at the ground covering a large area in all directions.

Advantage's- The first being that you can have a offensive attack from all directions and raining down onto the opponent from the sky which means either he needs to make a shield or defend from the top leaving him exposed from the bottom, The other being that the umbrella have senbons which are small that shoot all directions and covers a wide area so the opponent cannot dodge them.

Disadvantages- The disadvantages would be its ordinary senbons and umbrella so they can be blown away with ease, the umbrella as it is moving to the top can be burnt and the effect wouldn't take place and also the umbrella could be sliced in half and again the effects wouldn't take place.

Shikamaru then read this technique and already analyse it and he takes another scroll out (he didn't know where he was getting all these scrolls from) and then made the required handseals to help focuses and build up his charka and then he makes the scrolls ascend and they spiral around him and then using his right leg as a lever he takes off into the air. Shikamaru then uses his charka to make the scrolls release their contents at the opponent which was a large barrage weapons which was all attached with wires meaning they could be used again if they missed their target.

Advantages- The first is that no handseals and it only require scrolls which is good but also bad as they could be easy destroyed, the next is that they release a large amount of weapon which is all attached with wires with is a very nice bonus as you can re attack with them if they miss their target.

Disadvantage's- Again like a majority of these technique's they are just ordinary weapons which can either been blown back, cut in half preventing them from of any use anyway and it could simply just be blocked.

The techniques went by fast, and they were almost at B ranks. The Ninjutsu list was a long one, but at least he knew that his student would maybe use some of these techniques in future. Nonetheless, Minato got some more scrolls and launched them towards Shikamaru.

"Very good, here you go."

"Alright, now the next batch. A technique that allows the shinobi to "hover" small weapons like kunai, shuriken etc through the use of chakra. Very simple to do, and allows you to release these weapons towards the opponent with great speed. A nice technique.

Through the use of a special type of exploding tag, you are capable of detonating it from a range. This is also done through focuing your chakra, making it another useful but simple technique to use. Remember that it is a certain type of explosive tag.

Lastly, jump into the air, and release a large number of kunai towards the opponent. This is achieved with chakra, which allows you to spin fast, and release a large number of these kunai simultaneously. What makes these techniques so special in your opinion?"

Shikamaru moved on quick and wanted to keep this quick pace of learning the ninjustu technique, He quickly listened to Minato sensei He quickly focuses his charka and causes the kunai which he had strapped to his thigh (but he unstrapped it as he listened to you) to levitate in front of him and he shoots them at a very quick pace towards the dummy.

Advantage- Allows your average ninja weapons to be shot at very quick pace which is a nice bonus as they will travel faster then your opponents weapon, no handseals are require so this adds to the amount of speed this is performed with. The slight hover is a nice opponent as well as you can aim it better and more precise.

Disadvantage- they are still ordinary ninja weapons that aren't enhanced by anything so they can just be blown away with a simple and low rank wind technique.

Shikamaru started to perform the next technique, Shikamaru takes out a special explosive tag which could be detonated at range which was useful, He throws it and waits for it to be about 5 meters away from him and makes a handseal causing it to explode.

Advantage- The explosive tag can be detonated at range unlike normal explosive tags which Is useful if you want to get some distance from what you are exploding.

Disadvantage- The tag can be blown away from you target, set on fire causing it to explode, be cut in half destroying it so it is useless and a lot of other things so it makes it weak to use unless placed by you as then it will be precise and accurate.

Shikamaru wanted to get onto the higher stuff quick but understood it was a large list of technique's to learn, he listen's to Minato sensei again gathering charka. Shikamaru jumps into the air while focuses his charka and then releasing the charka causing Shikamaru to spin fast and releases a large amount of kunai simultaneously towards a dummy to his right so Minato sensei wouldn't be hurt, This would seem the same as standard technique's but the releasing of charka would make you spin faster and allows you too release a large amount of kunai which other lesser technique's doesn't allow you to do.

Advantage's- The first is that you use your charka to spin very quickly and release a large amount of charka at the same time which allows you to put your opponent under pressure.

Disadvantage's- again even though the kunai will have fast pace and in large masses they could easily be blown back by a simple wind technique and may even end up damaging you as they being blown back into you.
