I know Kakashi has the reputation of splitting lightning but this is no average lightning bolt. It's at least ten times bigger. We've seen him dissapate Kakuzu's lightning, but that was much smaller.

It'll matter if Omnyoudon can activate fast enough. However I do see it working.

I don't think substitution jutsu will get you clear of the blast radius. Every time that it's used it only places the user a few yards away.

Hiashi's air palm? The Japanese name is Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm and I believe that is a taijutsu move similar (yet far less powerful) to Hirodura. It's more like a thrust with chakra compression.

The only way that I can see an air palm taking out Kirin is if it's charged by Kyuubi chakra. The average air palm is incredibly small when compared to the Hirodura.

From what I remember its just a chain lightning, acts as the same so one could *possibly* mount a defense if one can react quick enough. I'm leaving it vague and mentioning elemental styles that could work.

Wood style- Yamato would be fine.

Earth style- Mud/rock.

Rubber style- Obviously
