first one is completely horrible and totally horrible for someone in your level, no flow, effects are chaotic and everywhere 0.5/10 I know you can do better than this!
Second one has nice colors, it's ok but still you didn't do anything special for the text, it looks plain, also it lacks depth 6/10

Okay, this is coming from someone who isn't comparing it with your previous work, who isn't a Photopshop genius, who has no idea what blending and flow and depth is -- I think it's realleh cool O_O I'd give it laik a 8/10, coz it looks nice XD
I suppose all comments don't have to be super-professional O_O
And for teh second one, like a 6/10 ^^

are you serious? there's lighting all over that sig. there doesn't have to be a spotlight over saying "hey look here's what I wanted you to see."
lighting is fine.
More effects yes, but none in the background. Text effects are a must for text sigs.

...wow. if you really think that then whatever..it's you opinion.
my opinion is that it would look absolutely horrible with a spotlight. directional lighting only works for some sigs, and in this case where it has ambient lighting from the effects directional lighting would make it look retarded.
