Basically it's going to be released next year at an unknown price and an obvious move to attract the casual crowd that Nintendo dominates. All I can say is that if your girlfriend/wife has yet to embrace gaming, then this device may sway her mind if you catch my drift ;)

When all else fails, copy Nintendo.

I'm actually disappointed in hearing this because it seems that, in an attempt to boost sales Sony has decided to copy Nintendo instead of doing something innovative like Microsoft did with Project Natal. Granted I think the idea of motion controls a novelty and should remain a Nintendo thing, I think that Sony is doing the wrong thing. they should be looking to get more good game for their system, instead of creating a new gimmick. what has hurt Sony the most is the fact that the PS3 is hard to develop games on, and that when Sony first announced it they way over priced it. I will concede that the PS3 is slightly better in performance and way better on reliability but up until the latest price drop, i had no want or desire to buy a PS3. And now that Microsoft's Forza Motorsports 3 scares Sony and Poliphony so much that they have to sacrifice detail so that they can add over 1200 cars means that Microsoft and its game developers are the better company when it comes to the actual games

Sorry but I'm not sure what the second part of your post has to do with the topic? Sony has plently of great games. That argument doesn't hold anymore with plenty more great games coming out as well. GT5>Forza 3. When GT5 is released everyone will forget about that 'other' racing game ;)

Remember Sony did have some form of motion control in the Sixaxis which was developed before Nintendo announced their Wii. I'm more skeptical of Project Natal. I just can't see future gaming w/o no controls and no feedback to the user. The problem with Sony's wand and Natal is that they'll be alienating alot of their current userbase since it hasn't been packaged in from the start like Nintendo has done. Not too mention that how many PS3 and 360 fans that have dissed for the Wii's 'gimmick' would be now willing to jump onto the whole motion controller train. I've got a Wii though so if the software is right and there is enough support I'd be willing to look into it.
