Introducing the new killer of the jungle, the all new NVidia GeForce GTX 1080 which dons the impressive Pascal architecture.
Now what does this mean for us the PC master race? This thing clocks an impressive 2256 cuda cores with a memory clock speed of up to 1,733 mHz with 8GB of GDDR5X high bandwith memory. To put Into perspective, the previous GTX had only 1,000 mHz and only 6GB of GDDR5 memory. The GTX completely blows the competition out of the water by standing up to some of the most intensive 4K PC games (from what I've seen on YouTube so far) and is able to run toe to toe with 2 R9 Nanos as well as GeForce 980's in two way SLI. Yep, you heard that right, the 1080 is basically as strong as two flagship GPU's. To top it off the 1080 comes with DX12 built in as well as this new awesome in game screen shotting ability called Ansil which allows even 3D screen shots for VR viewing pleasure.
I know what you're thinking; "where's the catch?" There is none. This thing costs only $599 ($699 for founders edition). That's at least 40% cheaper than most high end graphic cards as well as drawing significantly less power for operation, even when overclocked. If you were planing on buying the 980Ti or Titan X forget that! The 1080 is a better run for your dollar.
Another thing to note, AMD will return fire in a few weeks with their all new Polaris architecture so be sure to keep an eye out as it might contest the 1080 on equal terms. I'll post it when it comes out so don't worry I'll post it here
That is all for now, you can read up more about this godsent GPU here:
