I liked the part where he touched on Black people rioting and being upset over Trayvon Martin, but then going out and killing someone on the block/not caring when black on black crime occurs. I respect your opinion though, as I can see why Morgan Freeman's message might be better Lol.Nice track ^^
the msg isn't that deep though it does point out painful pasts and present issues
Morgan Freeman has the better message when it comes to racism
How is he pretentious?Kendrick tends to sound pretentious as evident by this song
Not to mention the un-needed violent nature and the reggae-ton almost make this song sound stereotypical
His flows pretty dope though
How is he pretentious?
And what do you mean by un-needed violent nature? Part of the song is to address the violence the black community has been facing, both from inside of itself and out.
Nah dog I didn't get that vibe at all.As in he tries to divulge a deep meaning in his music but he just doesn't quite get there so it sounds like he's rambling a bit of nothing. Sometimes don't rip me lml.
Eh well the way he displays it kinda makes it seem like blacks are the violent ones instead of letting his tone be vicious he should of focused more on his lyrics deviling the viciousness. As when he goes all "hard" I suppose the lyrics just don't match the tone so it just sounds unnecessary and ugly.
Just my opinion however as i said his flow for the majority is quite good and his lyrics are better then his average despite a few stints
Lol thats fine, your sig doesn't really make it seem like you know good rapNah dog I didn't get that vibe at all.
That's kind of how his style of rap works. Kendrick is a metaphorical rapper, if you listened to TDE you'd see they have an abstract style of creating music where they give a backbone to their general meaning, so to speak. It's basically to make the listener think a bit and go ¨Ohhhh¨ once you do catch their meaning. It's a means of getting the listener more engaged. They give you part of the meaning, and you fill in the rest. It's also a way to establish relatability for the listener. As in he tries to divulge a deep meaning in his music but he just doesn't quite get there so it sounds like he's rambling a bit of nothing. Sometimes don't rip me lml.

Don't be that guy Zexion. What's wrong with Asap Rocky? It's not like I'm hailing him as the best rapper to ever live. Would you rather I had a Big L song in my sig? LolLol thats fine, your sig doesn't really make it seem like you know good rap
