I give zero phucks what others think bout anime, I love it, I watch it, read manga, think bout it, dream bout it, and chat bout it, its my m*therf*ucking life, and I love anime, one thing I hate bout anime though is how girls treat boys and in some cases the useless sexualisation, I hate the teasing, if they aint gonna be ***, then just leave out the sexualistion like naruto, but apart from that, anime is the bomb, I've been watching anime since I was 12, 8years later still watching it and not giving af what the society thinks bout it

Animation is used for all kinds of things, chill. Ever since 2009, honestly- it really is the smallest deal ever.

yes, you could argue that any fanbase can hate the other which is true, but that's just it. even if you hate western cartoons/superheroes while you like anime, there is this strong sense of negativity where as if it were reverse, it seems okay. kinda like sakura vs hinata. anyways. is it officially taboo to like anime now? even fans of japanese games like pokemon, they get very offensive when you call it anime or anime related. (because it's a game first..but then neither were animes, most started off as manga).

am i going insane? am i finally coming out of my rock? am i watching too many forneverworld controversy anime hate related news that most likely made me paranoid? or is there actually a steady increase to the hatred? lol. even one punch man, i read comments of some of their fanbase saying one punch man is superior because it doesn't do any of that "anime crap" when it comes to fighting and typical storytelling (cause apparently that's a bad thing). or worst, i was playing yugioh online and this guy said he "loves playing yugioh but he hates anime". LOL, i don't even understand that. that's like saying you love p***y but you hate women.

i can't even use naruto profile pics over social media because people will diss my taste or opinion just because of that and honestly is about on the same level of hate as twilight and cod. at first i thought it was because naruto is popular, thus anime hipsters will usually hate it because animetards usually hate mainstream (huh, maybe that's the reason why they everyone hates anime) but now, it's not even that. everyone just dogs on naruto. SMFH look, the war arc wasn't perfect, infact it was barely decent imo but no where was it bad enough to completely say the naruto series is bad and should be frowned upon.

bonus: lmao, so it seems that now anime fans are the virgin anti social nerds who can't get any girlfriends while comicbook readers are the casuals cool guys where girls also enjoy it. (base off random resources i've been on). i find this funny, back when i was in highschool, most of my friends who only liked anime happen to be girls. most of which were quite decent looking. oh how the tables have turned in society. lolz

I can't speak for those people but I assume most of the dislike is because anime themselves are primarily targeted towards children even though the source materials aren't. Also it seems a lot of the more pushed current anime are more romantic slice of life stories. Personally I've noticed I've also become more easily bored with anime, I prefer manga now but I still watch some anime from time to time.

I've noticed his recently as well. I don't like anime or that kind of stuff either (minus a VERY select few), so I don't have much to say here. The anime culture is weird and ****ed up though (plus HORRIBLE fans. Everything has some portion of a bad fan base, but anime for sure) , so I can see why people dislike it. I dislike it and am only into the ones that are/were popular in America. At the same time, not all people who are into anime are that bad. In face, it can be the complete opposite. I think it is a case of the bad, annoying side overshadowing the good side. Mix that with weird, pervy, annoying anime, I can see why people hate it.
