[Discussion] New Dragon Ball Series in July.

A Japanese broadcaster and Toei Animation are readying the first new episodes of the Dragon Ball anime franchise for 18 years.

Dragon Ball Super is set to debut in Japan on Fuji Television in July and follows the release of feature film Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ this month.

The new series has been overseen by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, and sees the return of characters such as Goku and Majin Buu.

“Akira Toriyama has developed a plot that is not only a dream come true for Dragon Ball’s millions of fans but one that will foster a new generation of viewers,” said Osamu Nozaki, producer for Fuji Television.

As long as it takes place after Goku fought Uub, than yes! I do not want to have a Dragon Ball series that takes place before the time-skip. I want to see a Dragon Ball series that takes places after the final chapter of DBZ and one that is actually good as opposed to GT.

Checked the links you provided above."Dragon Ball : Ultra" seems more fitting.So this is going to be after Majinbuu saga.Then the GT is officially fodder Anime.Toriyama said he will give the draft and plot to the Anime.So it is officially canon.I hope it would be the story driven plot this time.
