He also has some bandages that cover only his left leg. His face resembles Kakashi's fathers when it is exposed.
Personality Amaku has a very reclusive personality and does not talk to people often. When he does talk however it is usually filled with very dry humor.

Background Info
History: Amaku was found by Kakashi as a war orphan(Explaining his reclusive personality) and he brought him to the Leaf. Graduated the academy at the age of 10 under Kakashi's guidance. Rose to the rank of Chunin at 15.He now resides as a proctor for the Chunin selection exams. However he was called off of this assignment because of a growing need for powerful ninja in the Leaf. To evaluate his battle skills he was sent to the Hidden Mist to foil a suspected attempt to destroy the great Naruto Bridge and return the Mist back to it's former state of poverty. He used the transformation jutsu to disguise himself as part of a supplies caravan to the Mist and discovered that the caravan was actually a delivery of explosives to Kukruga the Rogue. Kukruga was feared for his ability to attack a person’s emotions and render them careless to his attacks. Kukruga left his village to form a rogue organization known as the "Opposition". After Amaku learned of this he enlisted the help of locals to report their progress. After one week an informant told Amaku of their location and Amaku threw a paper bomb kunai into the explosive stock pile and destroyed their hideout. However Kukruga found the informant and publicly executed him. Amaku who had done so well thus far thought of this as a complete failure and felt a rage that had never surfaced in him before.
When Amaku finally found Kukruga in another caravan he quickly began to tail the caravan. Kukruga however spotted him and the battle commenced. Kukruga began by using water style: water prison jutsu on a clone. Amaku jumped from behind and used a demon wind shuriken. The shuriken lightly slashed Kukruga's arm. Kukruga then responded witha volley of kunai and shuriken which was blocked by substitution jutsu. Kukruga then ran at Amaku and used water style: water dragon jutsu. Amaku then pulled out a sword and jumped to safety. Then he threw a shuriken and hit Kukruga in the chest. Kukruga had used water style: water clone jutsu. Kukruga then equipped a pair of brass knuckles and began beating Amaku's ribs while he had pinned him to the ground. Amaku used his drawn sword and added a Kukruga blood sample by stabbing Kukruga through the back. Kukruga cried out and fell over begging for mercy, Amaku knew it was a ploy and slit Kukruga's throat. After a medical ninja discovered him by the road side on the bridge, he was healed and sent back to the Leaf to obtain his reward.
Now driven by the fact that he nearly died at the hands of a rogue ninja he now spends his days training to destroy all of the rogue ninja. This however is not his only vendetta; he seeks to end all war and suffering at any means necessary to the point of instability. This is mainly due to the trauma caused by seeing both of his parents die at the hands of the Mist Village assassin corps. He constantly battles with his subconscious the means to achieve his goal. Good and evil normally have a fine line, but the things he does to end suffering are not honorable. Some call it murder and some call it ending the world’s small problems. He however has yet to be discovered by his superiors and pays them little attention.
He realizes that he does not have the necessary power to accomplish his ultimate goal so he allows his teachers to continue training him without knowledge of the beast that lurks within. He has silently sworn to destroy all of the elder village snobs as soon as he gains the strength he needs. Also he wants to eradicate all Akatsuki for the simple fact that they may pose a threat to his plan with the power they wield. He will continue to fly under the radar and be the ultimate opportunist to take a position of power among the villages. His name is Amaku Hatake and he leads a life of righteous vengeance.
