I'm curious to see if this one will be able to beat Spider-Man 3, which was not that good in my opinion. Spider-Man 1 and 2 however, are one of the best superhero films out there, only beaten by Batman: The Dark Knight.

Spiderman 1 was good but Spiderman 2 wasn't that great. Not at all. Iron Man is actually pretty good, but not that good. That's what I thought.

Like I said, Spiderman 1 was fine but it's no where near The Dark Knight. There has yet to be a superhero film that's anywhere close to The Dark Knight. It's in a league of it's ownNot at all. Iron Man is actually pretty good, but not that good.
Spider-Man 1 is almost the level of The Dark Knight in Superhero greatness, and that says it all.
Then you have no clues on how to be a film reviewer O____OLike I said, Spiderman 1 was fine but it's no where near The Dark Knight. There has yet to be a superhero film that's anywhere close to The Dark Knight. It's in a league of it's own
Ironman 1 easily beats Spiderman 1 and 2
How does that mean I have no clue in being a film critic? Then you have no clues on how to be a film reviewer O____O
Ironman 1 is good too, just like X-Men Orgins Wolverin, Batman Begins, etc, but before Batman The Dark Knight arrived, Spider-Man 1 was the best made superhero movie ever, period U_U
Wow chill man, I'm not trying to sound insulting or anythingHow does that mean I have no clue in being a film critic?
The fact that you think Spiderman 1 is soo good is your own judgement. Like I said from the start, Ironman 1 is better than Spiderman 1 in my opinion. Don't try to insinuate that I'm at some sort of fault for liking something else than you. There are tons of people who would think otherwise, considering the fact that the first Spiderman movie had bunch of things canonically wrong/skewed. Not to mention the fact that the Goblin looked like a bad Halloween costume...
Oh suck it up lolYou didn't even quote meU_U
Well, in a way this movie will be more in tune with the comics. I'm not a huge comic book buff, but I know a few things. For example, Gwen Stacy was actually Peter's first love interest before Mary Jane, Peter's parents were CIA agents/employees under Nick Fury (though that's diff from this film apparently), and Spiderman's webbing was originally from his web shooters as opposed to being biological in nature (or at least that's how they're famous for).TBH, this spider man movie really turns me off. I'm all for good sequels, but this is something different entirely. They are basing this movie off of a spin off animated series. I remember seeing previews for a show called "The Fantastic Spiderman" or something like that years ago.
So this movie is just a spin off of that animated spin off series..... I just find it kind of ridiculous and overkill. So they are basically saying that the Peter Parker that we've known all this time never existed? And the Peter Parker in this one is younger than the other, so how can it actually be darker as one person suggested? I don't get it.
Maybe I'm being to cynical here, but I think they are just making this movie to make more money and not really to please the spiderman community. Granted, I don't know anything about the original comics nor do I know how well this story matches it, I just feel its a major kick to the nads to see a completely different cast over what was done for all those years. Get what I'm saying?
And about the rankings of comic book movies, the dark knight was by far in a league of its own, to quote NLee. I could take or leave any of the old spider man or Iron man movies in reality.
Good info. I didn't know his webs weren't biological in the comics, interesting. And I remember hearing at one point about Gwen stacy/ his CIA parents, but I guess i just ignored it because I never read any of the comics.Well, in a way this movie will be more in tune with the comics. I do think this movie will be a bit darker than the previous series just purely based on the trailer. It looks more action packed than the Tobey McGuire films
I think in one or two versions of the Spiderman comics his webbing was from his wrists, but mainly he's known for having invented his web shooters. It's part of how Peter Parker is suppose to be a genius. His webbing shoots out from his shooters, solidifies into the webbing (which is suppose to be extremely strong and durable), and then disintegrates away after some number of hours to leave no trail behind (for people like cops to examine).Good info. Anyway, there was always something about Tobey Mcguire's portrayal of spiderman that I didn't like at times.... I just kinda felt he was too nerdy for it or had bad timed or inconsistent facial expressions at times... idk maybe an actor change would be good.
