never having parents vs having parents then losing them

Depends on the situation.
- Raised by hatred, not knowing who you are, no purpose in life.
vs
- Loved, but getting your family/clan taken away despite still being praised by the world, having purpose in life.
Here is the biggest difference between Naruto and Sasuke:
- Loses bonds , however still keeps going.
- Loses bonds, considers it as the end of the world.

I think never having parents is worse.
Sure it will be devastating losing your parents. However at least you got to know and love them, and you'll always have those memories of them of what they were like, how they looked, how they smelt etc.
Besides, everyone loses their parents eventually. It just depends how soon you lose them that makes it worse.
The thought of never knowing who your parents were is quite sad, never getting to speak with them just once

I know people who have lost a parent and are perfectly fine today, because they have pictures, videos, belongings and wonderful memories to hold onto. Only the over emotional uchiha take it too far, and try to kill everybody because of their losses... as if they're the only ones who lost something U_U Eg Naruto, Kakashi and Gaara have arguably felt more pain than any uchiha, especially Kakashi (yet his strong will and state of mind is perfectly fine).

People have to understand NAruto and Sasuke think differently.... Naruto can hide his emotions, Sasuke is the straight head on. :
1. Came home and saw your kids dead, but still everyone loves you and praises you.
2. Never have kids, but people look at you like you are a demon, you are shunned away because you don't know what having a kid is like. Shunned away for something you had no control over.

I could agree with this if the person made it to adulthood. By then you got to fully know them and spend time with them also your old enough to handle the lose

A landslide agreeing that losing your parents is worse, i agree with that though.
I would rather not have any kind of familial bonds, than having strong familial bonds, then losing them.

Then why is Sasuke b*tching and moaning? Because he wants someone to understand him..... and Naruto perfectly understands him.. otherwise he would've killed Sasuke long time ago.. Same for Hashirama and Madara...
And also, i'm talking about the fans mentality. Not the characters.

The poll results are correct, since in real life it does in fact usually hurt more to lose your parents than it does to never have them.
However, this thread got off-topic the moment Naruto and Sasuke fanboys came in to relate it to their characters and decided to conveniently leave out important aspects to their back stories.

Let's start with Sasuke's past and the things he couldn't control/ had to deal with.
-Praised by teachers at school and always performed well there. In fact, he was the best.
-People want to be him and wish to be in his place (so he's acknowledged).
-Family loves him.
-Brother loves him and even makes time for him.
-Lives in nice home (better than Naruto's/Sakura's apartments).
^He's very spoiled basically.
Then, he loses his family in one night. Sees a Tsukiyomi for 24 hours of the clan being slaughtered. He's 8 at the time. He has no relation to the clan, bar his aunt, uncle, Fugaku, Mikoto, and Itachi. So, seeing the rest dead is just the same as seeing random bodies. Which most of the shinobi verse at younger ages has been exposed to (during the war era, kids didn't just see dead bodies for a 24 hour period... they saw thousands for months to years on end being killed. They were exposed to this at a younger age than 8.)
^So, Sasuke had one terrible day. It gave him his tragic past. But others have seen worse in the war era and remained more rational and mentally strong.
The main problem was who killed Sasuke's parents- that being Itachi. Itachi was someone who he admired. However, even this is not the best excuse when the fact that Sasuke slightly despised Itachi pre-massacre because he was jealous that he was more talented and received more praise is brought up. He wanted to surpass Itachi to get acknowledgement and all the attention, his older brother was just an obstacle to him, deep down in his heart. The whole Uchiha brotherly love concept is questionable given this. It doesn't seem sincere on Sasuke's behalf given his actions in this manga, it's only real on Itachi's end towards Sasuke.
After the massacre, Sasuke tries to attack his older brother nukenin, decides to leave Konoha, etc. However, everything at this point and beyond is not something to feel sympathy for, keeping in mind that any pain Sasuke feels was self-inflicted and still is today.
Now, let's look at Naruto...
-No parents
-Everyone despises him
-Does terribly in school
-No friends
-People talk trash about him
-They look at him with complete disdain
-People hope that he dies
-Literally has hatred incarnate within him
^Basically, doesn't know love for 12 years of his life and has no reason to live or goal given to him. :/
What happened? He decided to stop the pain and get better once being with Team 7. He is now the savior of the shinobi world and everyone has placed their faith in him.
Sasuke as a character has felt more pain than Naruto throughout their entire lives. However, this is only because he seeks to inflict pain unto himself, whether he realizes it or not. Sympathy is not something called for when regarding Sasuke's character. Naruto decided to put the past behind him in the way of not letting it decide who he is, but still keeps it in mind to recall that his motivation for staying good is to avoid going back to those dreary days.

The real question should be, what's worse, losing your parents and being loved and worshipped by everyone, or never having parents and be hated and scorned by the world too.
What a fallacious statement.
In real life, having no love and only being hated by everyone always leads to the victim committing suicide because they know that they don't have anything to look forward to. Losing someone and being praised leads to one being reclusive for a good while, but eventually going back out into the world due to the encouragement and support.
In Kishimoto's manga and relating past stories to the most simple recollection, your premise holds true, though. xD Apparently, if you get one compliment after having negative contact for 12 years straight, you'll be just dandy. If you lose 3 family members you're close to, but are praised/talented, you'll ignore everyone, be a world-class criminal, and you even get a nice little genetics excuse to support all your angst. Lol
