Looks: Susano'o is a very tall, 6'7 man, with white-silver hair held in place by a golden crown, simply showing off his self-righteousness. He has orange eyes and very dark, almost purplish skin tone, with the exception of the golden tattoo-like pattern which covers his right pectoral and both his arms. On his right pectoral is a blue tomoe-shape; his unique Mark of the Demon. While Susano'o never wears a shirt, claiming that it's "too constricting for battle", he wears armor on his waste over top of snake-skin pants and suneates on his legs, though he doesn't wear shoes, claiming that where he walks becomes "hold ground". Around his waste is tied his Nekura Cloak, which he will put on when fighting. Though this contradicts Susano'o's claim that "shirts are too constricting", he claims that the cloak is a symbol of who he is, as well as offering a wider range of movement than a shirt (this is often thought to be not true, but anyone who has argued with him about it left the conversation with a sword in their throat). From the time when he was a priest, Susano'o underwent an operation to have a ring of symbols planted on his back, as a sign of his devotion to the gods. However, now that Susano'o sees himself as a god, rather than a man who serves "god", the ring signifies his superiority above normal humans. He also wears a necklace of tomoe carved from jewels, which he acquired from the time he was a priest. When he began training with Mystogan, Susano'o came into possession of a strange sword which twisted and curved between its handle and blade. Within the twisting material, a space wide enough for Susano'o's hand exists, allowing him to use the sword like a bladed gauntlet. Susano'o always has a serious look on his face, keeping this expression so much that it has become a defining feature of his appearance; his stern, serious expression shows that he is always ready to fight, and that he won't let up.
Personality: Susano'o was at one time a very humble, diligent person who preached the word of the gods in the village of Minas Morgul. He was the mediator between "man" and "god", living a solitary life and keeping to himself. But when Mystogan met with him, and promised to make the man a powerful warrior, he was changed. The Juubi's foul chakra warped his personality, turning him from a humble, god-fearing, solitary man into a self-righteous, self-absorbed person, believing himself to be a god. However, while believing himself to be a "god", he calls himself a lesser god, and knows his limits in battle, while outside of battle his arrogance and self-righteousness knows no bounds. Now, Susano'o acts as he pleases, without regard for others, and does things for his own benefit. After the death of Mystogan, Susano'o became enraged and chose the life of vengeance, planning to grow in strength and to kill all necessary to restore honor to his master's name.

Background Info
History: During the Third Great Shinobi War, Amegakure was in chaos. Civilians fled, trying to save their lives, while soldiers fought on, not caring who was part of the war. One of the civilians trying to flee the village was a young woman named Mikoto Izanami. At the outskirts of the village, in a small rowboat, she and her two children, Mikoto Amaterasu and Mikoto Tsukuyomi, were mistaken for a member of the army using guerrilla warfare and two dolls or henge'd enemies. With the attack incoming, Izanami shielded her children with her body while using what weak ninjutsu she had to protect herself. Her boat was sunk and she had sustained critical damage to her own body. Everything began to go dark, before something touched her shoulder. Then, nothing.
Izanami awoke a few days later, rescued as a refugee in a land she did not recognize. Looking out the window, there was a world far different from the Amegakure she once knew. Then the owner of the home, and her savior, entered. She spoke with him, and learned that her young children were in safe care. She was very far away from home, in a land she had never heard of; the Land of Demons. Staying in the village, she eventually married the man who saved her life, having seen her first husband killed in the war, and had a son; Nekura Susano'o.
Growing up as the son of a Nekura warrior, and of a refugee from Amegakure, Susano'o was often looked at strangely by the people around him. He, like his older brother and sister, showed no immediate talent for ninjutsu or combat of any kind, and so they were given easy chores to make the lives of the people in Minas Morgul a little easier. While he didn't mind the chores, as they kept him busy, Susano'o always felt like there was something missing. At the age of sixteen, he decided to take the path of a holy man, preaching the word of the gods to anyone who would listen. Susano'o's gods, strange and all-powerful, simply caused more people to think him and his family crazy, and unfit for the Nekura name. But they did draw one man's attention. Up until the day he left, the boy known as Mystogan was interested in the strange preaching-man; not because of his words, but because there was something about him. Susano'o may have been older than the boy, but the kid was mature for his age; wise beyond his years. There would come a day when age did not define master and student.
Still more years passed before the man returned. Susano'o continued to talk about his gods all day, and it intrigued Mystogan even more. That this man would still be so set in his own ways... It stayed in the back of his mind, even after he left again. But the second time Mystogan returned, this time as the Mizukage, he confronted the "holy man" Susano'o. Saying that he could transform this weak mediator into a warrior, the masked man took Susano'o under his wing and began to teach. The first thing taught was the Nekura clan's secrets, and Keigoku. When the man was first introduced to the foul chakra of the Juubi, his mind began to snap. His mental ability went dark for a moment, and he couldn't perceive the events as they happened properly. When he awoke, however, there was a blue symbol on his left pectoral, surrounded by a golden pattern which extended down his right arm and continued onto his left arm. His once-pure skin was now tainted a dark, almost purplish hue; his own body being corrupted by the Juubi's chakra, as well as his mind. Asking what had happened, the masked man responded simply. "The only "god" you need to know, the Juubi, has granted you a gift."
From that moment onwards, the masked Mizukage would traverse back and forth between Kirigakure and Minas Morgul, taking care of a bit of business in Kirigakure, and then training Susano'o in the village of the Nekura. Even while Mystogan was away, Susano'o continued to train, that one moment opening a whole world of possibilities and power for him. Looking forward to sparring with his master every time he arrived in the village, Susano'o's days were filled with fighting, and gaining the respect of the Nekura clansmen around him. But on day, Mystogan failed to arrive when he had promised. Then he failed to arrive the week he promised.
Half a month after Mystogan had promised to return to Minas Morgul to spar with and train Susano'o, a messenger arrived to deliver the new; Mystogan was dead. A member of the Akatsuki, Kakuzu, had killed him in battle for the title Mizukage. Filled with rage, at Kakuzu for killing his master, at himself for not being there to aid the man he respected most, and at the messenger simply because he delivered the new, he did the one thing that would immediately satisfy him; Susano'o beheaded the messenger without warning. Taking his stuff, Susano'o left Minas Morgul without so much as a "good bye" to anyone in the village; he was going on his journey by himself.
As he traveled, Susano'o eventually made it into the mountain range of the Land of Lightning, where he met a nomad of the area. The traveling man didn't have much to offer the self-proclaimed "god". Taking his leave in the middle of the night, without so much as the intention to thank the man, Susano'o was discovered and attacked from behind. Outraged, he lashed out against the man, who then summoned a great snake to aid him in battle. But the attempt was pathetic. With his skills in Wind Release and Kenjutsu, Susano'o beheaded the serpent with a single cut, and killed the nomad he had met. Naming his unique blade after the accomplishment, "Orochi Slayer", or Great Snake Slayer, Susano'o continued his journey. Traveling south, Susano'o found his way to a small village Yugakure, where he entered an empty home and began to live. Forcing the original occupants to leave as they arrived, claiming the home as "territory of the gods", Susano'o began to ponder what to do with his life. He wanted to kill the man who slaughtered his master, but if a man such as Mystogan could be killed than this "Kakuzu" must be strong. Deciding that he was going to undergo training of his own before finding the new Mizukage, Susano'o took out a map and began to draw out his master plan.

Keigoku: Being a master of the secret Nekura techniques, Susano'o is quite adept in the usage of Keigoku. His portals, pitch black and ominous, create a Keigoku of a very dark hue. His special Nekura cloak is tinted with a deep purple shade, signifying his prowess with Keigoku.
Nature Transformation: Susano'o is a well-versed shinobi, being able to mold chakra of all five basic elemental natures. However, from his mother he inherited an affinity towards the Wind Release, allowing him to utilize Fuuton techniques with a single handseal. Another advanced nature element Susano'o inherited from his mother is the ability to manipulate the falling rain as his own weapon, allowing him to turn both the wind and rain into his proverbial halberd, which led to his moniker "God of Storms".
Kenjutsu: While Mystogan was away, Susano'o trained his body in the art of the sword, taking lessons even in the mountains of Kumogakure to improve his swordsmanship. Through rigorous training in the harsh terrain, Susano'o became a very able swordsman. His blade, Orochi Slayer, is decorated with a winding transition between the handle and the blade itself, with room for one's hand to slide inside. Instead of having a sheath, when Susano'o needs to fight with something other than his sword he will often simply slip his left hand into the curved "gauntlet" while at the same time he can swing his arm and use the blade as a true extension of his body.
Genjutsu: Being a disciple of Mystogan, Susano'o was trained diligently in the art of illusions. His skills and studies with genjutsu have imbedded themselves so deeply in Susano'o's subconscious that he can perform the handseals for illusionary techniques faster. His speed in casting illusions makes it easier for him to use in a closer range, allowing him to combine his swordsmanship and illusion casting to become a fierce opponent. Despite enjoying the art of the sword more than the art of illusions, Susano'o uses genjutsu and keeps up his training with it so as to not become dull as it is one of the few links he has back to his deceased master.
