This "destiny exist or not" fight, be it in reality or in any fiction, is really a non-ending debate and depends totally on perception of individual.

Too me, Neji was wrong, because he said one can't change who he/she is. A loser at birth is always a loser and a winner at birth is always a winner. Well look again, Naruto was born a loser and he worked way too hard to become what he is now, a winner. He literally proved him wrong, unless you want him to be a loser for life to prove Neji right that A loser at birth is always a loser.

That panel where Naruto said those words, I won't justify it. He was a kid of 12 years of age and was fairly right that there are no shortcuts of becoming a hokage. But he never said anywhere that when your friends and love ones are at deaths door, you should just kick the ass of a person who is extending a helping hand, in this case SO6P.

They were both right. Neji was correct about Naruto's destiny (the loser at birth foreshadowed Ashura), but Naruto proved he can change people's fates (saved Guy). This also foreshadowed Neji's death, since he died the same way his father did, protecting who he cared for, and not out of duty.

I'm tired of explaining this to ignorant people every time I see this thread. Go re-read the manga.

because, he was the Child of Prophecy
its both hardwork and destiny
naruto always wanted to be the hokage but he was still destined for it
neji's dad was destined to die for the main branch and at the end chose it himself
even if naruto was the child of prophecy he still helped the bijuus and gained their trust

still naruto became only that stong because of destiny and not of hard work
lee, guy are working hard but not naruto
the power up which he and sasuke got is an perfect example

I am going to have to disagree with you

Naruto is a very hard worker, you think his jutsu and power just comes out randomly like sasuke's ?

he has rasengan training
Frs training
sage mode training
bijuu training
he had to gain kuruma's respect which was not easy
he had to gain all bijuu respect which was also was not easy

so go ahead tell me again how naruto does not train hard

where as sasuke he just get a new eye power and new jutsu that comes with that eye

only thing i remember sasuke actually training was chidori.

lee and guy has to work harder than naruto because they are handicapped. that does not mean that naruto does not work hard.

naruto learned most of these techniques in an short amount of time because of an big help/boost which was Kurama

working hard is for me when you train every day to top ypur limitations, not getting power ups pulled in you ass by mighty people

So where exactly is there evidence that Lee and Gai gained access to the gates through 'hardwork'...didn't Kakashi imply that opening those gates had nothing to do with hard-work?

the fact that Gai seems to have 'inherited' the ability from his father supports the fact that it may be hereditary...so can people really keep trying to use them as examples of gaining power through hardwork, hmm?

It seems you didn't get the reincarnation as it's portrayed and explained in manga. He wasn't born as ashura's reincarnate but he was chosen by ashura's chakra, later in his life, when he proved himself worthy, in sage's word.

I am sorry but since when do you have the ability to tell how long each of naruto training was, kishi does not potray time well in this manga, hell its been like what, how many chapters, and it hasn't even been one day yet.

The only thing naruto has gotten from others is chakra
what would have happened if naruto did not train to learn the rasengan, frs, sage mode, and bijuu bomb, kagebunshin

what would have happened ? he would not be that strong as he is now,

how would naruto destroy those giant meteors that madara threw , with pure chakra ? don't make me laugh.

Naruto is able to do the things he can now because he trained hard to learn those skills. Please go re read the manga, becasue your obviously blind if you saying that naruto did not train to learn these skills.

training every day to top your limitations ? when you find a day in this arc for naruto to train then tell me.

but he became who he is, because he was the reincarnation of ashura

This is up for interpretation...In the Manga chapter 671 page 11 the Sage suggested that Ashura chose to 'Inhabit' Naruto because of who he is and his ability to attract people. (If Ashura outright controlled everything about his 'container' why would it matter who he possessed wouldn't they all have his personality)

people are hung up on the real world concept of reincarnation and fail to realize that Narutoverse probably isn't our world, so the concept of reincarnation may be different.

Naruto's version of reincarnation just seems to be a type of possession were the invader chooses a container who posses similar ideal and doesn't take over. based on this we have no idea when Ashura chose to go inside Naruto, but according to the sages words Naruto had to have existed long enough to develop his own personality and accomplish something to make Ashura find him worthy.
