Remember how Neji told Naruto that you can't change destiny?
That who he was meant to be was decided from the start?
Ironically, he was right.
Naruto managed to unite the Bijuus, gain the Sage's powers and unite the world only because he was the reincarnation of Asura. All of his abilities ( High Chakra, Bijuu chakra, stubborness ) are gained through his heritage, whether it's a gift/powerup from his father ( the 9 tails ) or his grandgrandgrandsomething ( the Sage ).
In the end, Neji was right. Naruto was destined for something and that something happened. The only thing Neji was wrong was predicting what exactly Naruto was. Neji saw him as a loser and it turns out Naruto had so much bloodline up his arse he'd make Orochimaru salivate thinking of it. And honestly now, how could Neji have predicted Naruto was the reincarnation of the son of some God of shinobi most consider a myth?
But pretty much everything Naruto does was through his heritage rather than talent.
All hail Might Guy, pretty much the only high tier character in the series that became strong through his own efforts.
