You don't know what sloppy writing is...do you know how stupid "had neji died for someone else" sounds in your head?

the end result being neji's death REGARDLESS of who he died for is the product of fake destiny...the end result would be the same no matter who he died for...ps he jumped in front of both hinata AND naruto...not just hinata
You're wrong, You can't say Neji protect BOTH if Hinata was the one to cover Naruto from the tooth pick but instead Neji was the one who died protecting Hinata so that she could get together with Naruto.

Neji dieing for someone else as "his choice" wouldn't result as destiny. However Hinata is a MAIN Family so that was apart of the Hyuga destiny. The original message of Naruto was that how you are born. You can be whatever you want if you're so determine to change your path.
His father believe Neji can change the hyuga because he's a prodigiy. Instead it end up being his grave as a Hyuga slave boy, so in the end result you can't change destiny no matter how you're born.

So neji did not change the hyuga?...they just remained the same even after his death hmmm??

It was never elaborate about what happen to the Hyuga even right now we still don't know anything but taking Hiashi words as a grain of salt.
Even if the system were to change, that still doesn't change anything that neji had to go through the trouble to die as a branch family was predetermined before getting rid of the whole foundation

A loser will always be a loser......

Of course Neji was right....he had only one mistake.....Naruto was never a loser to begin with.
Kyubi's jinchuriki, Uzumaki blood, Yondaime's son, child of the prophecy, Ashura's reincarnation....with all of this, no way than Naruto would not be badass shinobie.

Ironic isn't it.
Naruto bashed neji on his views on destiny and even managed to change his views on destiny.

Only to have Part 1 Neji proven right as naruto's destiny was written long before he was even born

I mean technically as an Ashura transmigrant, his destiny was simply to fight indra his whole life. Yet, he put an end to the cycle, which he failed to do in all his previous lives. Doesn't that technically mean naruto broke the never ending "destiny" of Indra and Ashura

I think many of you are confusing Destiny with Fate.

Destiny can be chosen and is nothing more than a series of necessary events that ultimately lead to a desired outcome.

Fate is the development of events beyond a person's control, regarded as determined by a supernatural power.

Naruto becoming Hokage was his Destiny (a path he chose to follow)

Naruto being an Ashura Transmigrant and fighting Sasuke the Indra Transmigrant was Fated.

Naruto and Sasuke ending the cycle of hatred between the two timeless adversersarial Transmigrant souls was Destiny

Neji's dying....was BS :coffee:

he was completely right about destiny.

also, kurama holding back pts naruto is irrelevant for the simple fact that he was graced upon it's power to keep him alive until he mastered it in shippuden. let's not forget, he only got as far as he did even in the pain arc by kurama's power.

Well, Naruto might have been born lucky, but you gotta consider that, for the longest time, the Kyuubi did nothing but to hold him down, not to mention that he had almost to no one to support him in his goals, so it can still be argued that Naruto didn't quite have an easy path to glory either.

But he ended up destined to have Iruka, and then Kakashi and so on... He was born with a huge advantage and continued to gain them. He never had it hard because all he did before Iruka came hitherto was mess around. As soon as he did start actually pursuing his goals, he gained a large circle of friends.

I totally agree with this, I was actually watching the fight again yesterday and its crazy to see the speech knowing naruto is the 4th's son and a transmigrant. Naruto WAS a pretty big failure at the time though, at least

And that is nothing but his own merit. Naruto started with nothing but what he was born with, and not even that he knew aboutt. It would have been far easier to just give up there and then and nothing this would have happened. Naruto might have been born special, but that doesn't mean his destiny was moulded because of it. There were many transmigrates in between Ashura and Indra and Hashirama and Madara. The fact that not one of them grew big enough for us to even hear of them shows that being chosen is not a prerequisite of being great. Same goes for the fact that he is a Kage's son. Hell, we haven't once heard of Hashirama's children, at that. They did not leave a mark behind in history despite being born with the potential to do so.
