If Neji had one person for back up, he'd win,
Because I believe he could take on the 1000 puppets with his byakugan techniques.

I have noticed from the show that the byakugan is just a support. Well that's how they use it in a 4 man cell team.

neji is a bad matchup for sasori...
1. He has rotation which can help him block weapons, attacks , and make the poison fog go away due to the high speed and wind pressure caused by rotation.
It is known that Neji can move while using Rotation, so he can use Rotation to get close to Sasori.
2. Gentle Fist, thanks to the gentle fist neji would be able to disable the chakra that is controlling each of the 100 puppets, or EVEN DISABLE THE CHAKRA INSIDE THE METAL SAND OF THIRD KAZEKAGE WITH ONE TOUCH.
3. 360º vision, thanks to this neji will be able to know about every that is happening around him, feel from where he's being attacked and to notice that "heart target" flying around everywhere..
SO BASICALLY AND IN MY OPINION SASORI IS ONE OF THE NARUTO'S TOP 15 BUT NEJI IS A BAD MATCH UP DUE TO HIS ABILITIES AND INTELLIGENCE APPLIED TO THOSE ABILITIES.

Actually, that is incorrect, Neji targets the tenketsu, the chakra pathway points. It isn't as if his hands hit something, and it destroys the chakra. They are being controlled by chakra STRINGS, so seeing as chakra isn't a physical entity, he couldn't disrupt it, though I am not sure on that. But even if he could, a master like Sasori would simply reapply the string, because there is no permanent damage. So somehow I doubt he can hit 1000 strings that can be made invisible, can't be touched, and are rapidly moving all while dodging 1000 puppets and their weapons. Neji would get overpowered and poisoned.
Actually, even if he used that, it uses a large amount of chakra, and he has to remain spinning constantly, so I doubt he can maintain it long enough to get Sasori, who can fly up in the air, and negate any attempt for that to be used against him. Also, show me proof they can actively move in that form, I don't believe that is possible, but prove me wrong, in any case, my previous points stand.
Sure he can notice it, but can he hit it? How can he anyway, it is flying around, actively moving away, and he has to fight off hundreds of puppets, remaining unscratched to get to him.
Neji is probably the WORST person to fight a high level puppet user...
The chakra is disrupted by the gentle fist, AND TO RE-APPLY THE CHAKRA STRINGS he would need to touch the disabled item to apply the chakra string, as seen when chiyo used her kunai chakra stringed to control hiruko's tail.
Yes he can move in this form, proof is seen during the neji vs neji fight, it looked more like a beyblade fight instead of a ninja fight.
Neji will notice with ease every move of the heart target Sasori has, thanks to his 360º vision, in the same way neji fought and saw the movement of all those spiders of that sound ninja in their fight, he will be able to sed the movement of the heart itself, the whole bunch of puppets and any trap or ambush made by sasori.

sasori will win because he got poison on most of his weapons and plus gas.I know naji will give a good fight but i also know sasori will find a good timming to send dagger or kunai to hit him with poison.he be dead by then
