While Neji is good, Kakuzu has too much raw power for him to handle, even with gentle fist, cause he is also fighting his other hearts at the same time.

Even If it was just kakuzu alone, Neji's chances of winning are not that great since kakuzu has many years of experience in battle that would give him the edge.
