Neji the Strongest Genin? a Prodigy?

Neji has shown potential to be the Strongets Genin of the first part of Naruto series..

Yes Naruto , Gaara, Sasuke are the strongest KIDS in the end of Part 1 BUT all 3 of them possesed something that gave them more chakra.. So excluding the Curse and the Tailed-beast.. In normal skills. Neji is the best Genin. He is a True Prodigy. Now if he had the Sharingan I think he would have been way better then Sasuke.


Naruto was only able to beat Neji since Neji didn't knew about the 9-tail fox's chakra. Cause if he had then Neji would have most likely finished of Naruto earlier.

first and second bold: neji had the byakugan which is a kg, not a normal skill. third bold: no proof and sasuke got the sharingan way later than neji got byakugan. neji was born with his but sasuke's had to be awakened by trauma.

1. Byakugan doesn't increase his chakra.. it is even less then the Sharingan.. It is basically a tool that allows you to see your opponents chakra points.

And i know Sasuke got the sharingan way later then Neji.. But he trained more and was stronger then Sasuke.. without their KKG

Yh neji would of one against naruto I have re-watched that battle a few times. It was basically over for him when neji got him in his eight trigrams sixty four palms. I don't understand how neji was owning naruto and he kept getting up and naruto got 1 punch on him and neji was on the floor?

With out curse mark and naruto's tailed beast yes neji would be stronger at that time but that's how the story goes.

1. i kind of bolded the wrong part with the chakra. i meant just the normal skills. his byakugan and gentle fist are not normal skills.
2. without his KKG neji has shown no exceptional skills. sasuke on the other hand was able to take out the demond brothers who were of chuunin level. this was done without the sharingan with pure skill. neji has always had the byakugan and has never beaten anybody without it.
3. i think in terms of normal skills lee was the strongest because he has no KKG

I always thought of neji as one the most powerful and the byakugan was the biggest trolled KG but if your going to exclude gaara's tailed beast which he almost never used in battle, he doesn't lose much strength imo. Hear me out he has large chakra reserves on his own not because of shukaku. Thats why he was chosen as a jinjuriki (spelled it wrong i know) because of his chakra reserves and he was compatible for a bijuu to be sealed within him. Even after shukaku was extracted it seemed if he even got stronger instead of weaker which is suprising. He and sasuke are still stronger than neji because of sasuke's sharingan and gaara because of his mastery over his sand and chakra reserves. I hate to say it because neji is my fav konoha 11 character but he was trolled for a reason, not everybody in the series can be kage level it would ruin the balance of the ninja's in the series if everybody we liked was super strong. He could take naruto though without the kyuubi.

1. Im taking KKGs into account. Because they don't actually boost your chakra.. (Basically what i meant was without anything external power).

2. thats argueble.. And even with sharingan Sasuke is not strong as Neji.

But he didn't have to get trolled that bad.. HE was the strongest Genin going into the chunin exams.

And if we exclude the shikaku Gaara was a weak defense... Shikaku is the one that never let anyone touch him. ;x
