Neji the Strongest Genin? a Prodigy?

Itachi without a doubt was.. But we from part 1 of naruto.. the genins that went to the chunin exams. and Kimimaro and haki weren't genins x-x

Gaara without Shikaku would still beat Neji with mid-high difficulty. I agree that Neji would beat 3 tomoe Sasuke with high difficulty and Naruto without Kyubbi with mid difficulty.

Although I think he would lose to Temari depending on the range of the battle.

Eh... Pre-timeskip Naruto? Yeah, he would win if the battles were fought the same way tey are now: Throwing out meteors, destroying mountains without breaking a sweat, etc...

But way back then, Kishi had a knack of pulling out awesome stuff out of his ass, so I really can't say.

Post-Time skip? Dunno, depends if he gets time to make a rasenshuriken (and as a consequence, destroy his arm)

sasuke is sort of tied after he trains to fight gaara and gaara's sand we learn was controlled by his mom so that still counts and naruto pushed gaara far with just thousands of clones and no kyubi xd

You seem to forget that Naruto has a much larger chakra pool than anyone else even without the Kyuubi.

And also, After shikaku went out.. Gaara is vulnerable to attacks now.. Before the sand would block it automatically. And naruto did push him that back.. But against neji he got his ass handed to him.
