Shouldn't the byakugan be a great advantage in this fight? being that diedara hiding bombs, weather under ground/in the air, just like the sharingan/even better he would be able to see them? and i dont think shino's bugs would have any problems getting to diedara?

I think that Neji would be seriously limited in this fight. He is a short Range fighter. The Byakugan may help Neji not die; but, it wont help him win this fight.

I would be interested to see what the Aburame clan's techniques would do against Deidara.

It doesn't really matter if he can see bombs, Deidara will send them to him anyway. Hiding the clay mines was only possible with Tobi' S/T tech. How could they avoid C3? The massive bomb he used against Gaara? C4? They are dead.

No i think the Byukugan is properly one of the best defences against his clay. the only problem is his big bomb which kills him, the blast range is why too big to escape by bugs or on foot
