Who cares about that uppercut? There is logically no reason why Naruto should be able to travel underground several feet, as well as leap from underground with enough power to render a person unable to move. It is only logical if he used a jutsu to do it, like Kakashi's jutsu. This was all to make Naruto win, so I don't even count it as a win for Naruto or a defeat for Neji.

Neji's speed stat at the time of his CE fight was 3, Sasuke's was 3.5 (and they don't count enhancements like Sharingan). To top it off, Sasuke has precognition where Neji doesn't so he can fully coordinate and control the entire sequence of taijutsu skirmishes. He can both dodge and perfectly time counter hits that would 5/10 connect. And going along with the idea that Sasuke knows even a little about how GF works, he'd already know how to approach him, and would be able to avoid hits. In fact, CE Sasuke's overall stat total was 22.5 vs. CE Neji's whose was 21. Not to mention CE Neji was panicky against Naruto when the latter approached him for close range combat after just releasing a small amount of Kurama's chakra (not even V1). He didn't have the striking speed to form Kaiten before Naruto arrived, so what would he do if Sasuke used a similar manouevre with Chidori?


Either way, it would be high-diff no matter who won. It wasn't until SRA that Neji surpassed him again anyway. And then Sasuke surpassed him again at VoTE level.

Okay. Where are you getting any of this information? Almost none of what you just posted was true. Neji's speed surpasses Sasuke's during the CE. And they are on the same level in Shippuden. And without speed, Sasuke loses to Neji, unless he's able to withstand Neji's hits. Which he wouldn't be able to do. Neji wins during the CE. Neji wins after CE. Neji wins during Shippuden. Neji wins.
