Really how so. The only difference that i can see is that rather than trying to make everyone notice him like Naruto, he wants his dad's attention. imo Bolt is acting just like just like Naruto would if he was in that situation. Only Bolt seems more mature
I would rather take this to PM because this thread is not about how Boruto is like or different from Naruto /so far/. Is that fine?

I mean the majority of Naruto characters were useless. He wouldn't have added much like how he didn't add much to the original or shippuden.

Killing off an irrelavent character who holds alot of great potential is not a good thing when a character that was just reintroduce to Shippuden only to die holds no significiance and Impact to the story. If Neji had to die, it would've been the fight with Kidomaru because it's his meaningful death

Yeah, the way he died was quite cheap. The timing was off but they needed some War Arc drama.

Many characters that were killed off had potential for part 3.

For Neji in particular, I think he would have been useful in showing some Hyuuga clan techs. Or at the very least as you stated interacting with his niece and nephew. He could have been the one to show them their mother clan's techniques. We could have seen some light-hearted moments and a less serious side from him as well.

Then again, we might not have seen him at all just as we haven't seen Lee or TenTen since ch 700... Kishimoto loves elaborating on the Uchiha since he knows he has a solid fandom with them unlike other characters he didn't really bother fleshing out.

Out of curiousity, which characters would you have liked to see in Part III. Yeah, the Uchiha storyline is getting milked imo.

I would say Kage level since he was a genius, he already knew Hiashi's jutsu without being taught at the age of 12.

All he needed was a teacher like Jiraiya to help him bring out his true potential, but Kishi carapped on him like he did with Hinata

I don't dislike him but honestly never really cared about him. Killing of characters is good to make it more dramatic (unless it's your fav).

He wasn't my fav but i thought he was a great character and it may have benefited the mini series had he survived. However his death did help to develop Naruto's character.

I couldn't have agreed with you more considering they both supposedly came from the strongest clan in the Leaf Village

I see what you mean with how Lee and Ten-Ten being non relevant in the mini series but as i've stated he could have been relevant as a teacher if not a cameo as the uncle of Bolt and Himawari much like Gaara and Kankuro as the uncle's of Shikadai.

I think Neji would've made a good sensei to Boruto and Himawari and with him Training them it might of actually made the Hyuga someone relevant again.

His death felt very rushed, It's like kishi said someone needed to die and pulled a random name out of a hat.

I know there have probably been tons of these threads but, could you imagine what Neji would be like in the mini series if he didn't die in the war? I think due to the fact that he was considered a genius among his generation and that he showed such skill and prowess that he could have been in like ANBU, maybe a new Jonin leader for the new generation, or at the very least Boruto's baby sitter(haha kinda joking about this one if you didn't get it). But what do I know right? Haha! In all seriousness I just wanted to know if anyone else has thought about what Neji would be like in the mini series? All feedback is appreciated and I will attempt to respond ASAP.

Neji should hav his own children , heck he would've made a much better match for ino than sai. That way there would be actual hyugas in the gaiden , yamanka/hyuga would be vastly more interestin than yamanaka/sai , neji would be leader of the hyuga and be a uncle/sensei to bolt.

Also rock lee would still hav his rival , replacing gai/kakashi and we could see them both continue to compete against eachother , not to mention the neji vs lee fight we hav always wanted.

But there is no use discussin this since kishi obviously has no desire to expand the hyuga as a whole since her killed their only genius , sidelined their leader and made turned hinata into kurenai which means no action.
