Neji and Pain

i was just thinking about how these two characters would make a rather interesting fight, with pains push and pull abilities along with the rinnegan and nejis gentle fist, rotation, and byakugan. i wanna hear your two cents what do you think about this match up?

edit: i am in now way saying that neji would come anywhere near beating pain in a fight, i want to know what you think about these twos guys different abilities facing off against each other. pains push creates just about the same absolute defence as neji's rotation with the drawback of having to wait in between uses. if neji was to get close to pain to use his gentle fist pain could again push neji away. if pain tried to push stuff towards neji, all he would have to do would be to rotate. thoughts on the abilities facing off against each other.

pein would defeat Neji...i am sure of it...he defeated Jairaya the sage...salamander...and alone destroyed leaf village...and defeated kakashi and group of jonin level ninja along with him...if he was able to do all that he must be able to defeat Neji too...

Agreed with Migualon, Negatos would wreck Neji, he might be able to stand up to a single path of pain, but not for long.

Yeah it's a bit of a shame but the Hyuuga and Byakugan hasn't leveled up that much in Shippuuden. Neji won't be able to touch Pain.

You mean only the main Pein since their was six of them? I also thought Pein's technique was simillar to Neji's but much more powerful and if rotation was hit with a fully powered push it would breakthrough or maybe just send him and his chakra sphere flying. Neji couldnt really defend againtst Pain since you cant see his attacks coming even with byakugan just look what happened to Hinata. He would have to get in close which is hard to do againtst Pein's push and pull but I bet Neji could do it he is smart, then Pein doesnt have normal chakra points since it's a dead body the chakra comes from those black rod's which would probably be easier to remove accurately and quickly with gentle fist and byakugan. Pein's pull abillity might backfire since Neji could simply start his ratation in mid air. Pein could win the fight with sheer brute strength look what he did to the leaf village imagine if one person was hit with that.

Don't see how neji would even approach deva path, not to mention the other 5 path, neji would need summonds to fight pain, from what I know the fight wouldn't be drawn out.

we haven't seen any serious neji fight since he fought that spider freak in part 1 so we don't know how stron he really is right now. still, pain would trash him imo.
