Last time Zanji was in the Head Masters Office with Versuvio, Bibi Nexus and Rei were in the Emergency room discussing Zanji's latest expressions, and Natsu and Ice were in the Cafeteria where Max and Grimm are dancing around wanting their food.
In the Head Masters Office Zanji is discussing the up coming Graduation exam......
Zanji: Head Master....are you sure you want the Graduation exam held in Coast Reef?
Versuvio: Yes, Zanji, I do want it held there. Why are you so concerned about us holding it there?
I know you haven't been there since you were a child and you witnessed your family killed by that rogue Scorpion machine but there is a chance that it isn't there any longer.....
Zanji: *showing more sorrow in his eyes and anger in his voice* YES! But there is also a chance that THING! is still there....Also you know that we are at war with the Northern Nation and they will see this as an opportune time to strike!
Versuvio: Now Zanji, I know just as good as you do that has little to do with the graduation exam. Because I know for a fact you 6 are more than capable of handling the most part of the Northern Nation and this will give them a chance to truly test their skills....
Zanji: Yes I know but Natsu hasn't had time to hit the field for more training and tomorrow I am sending him out with Ragnaroc for that training.....see you in a few days Versuvio that's if you don't cower out of this *as he smirks and and begins to leave the office*
Versuvio: Zanji.....*he stands from behind his desk and tosses a bag to Zanji* You know for a fact I will be there but the question is will you?
Zanji: *catches the bag and looks down while facing the door*....we'll just have to see.....
Zanji leaves the Head Masters Office and heads to his quarters.....meanwhile in the Emergency Room.....
Rei: Nexus you have known Zanji far longer than any of us, has he ever once mentioned to you about his past? I know he has never told me anything
Nexus: Now that you mention it Rei he never once mentioned anything about his past every time it has come up he has gone quite and quickly changed the subject. But Rei I am surprised you haven't tried looking into his mind about his past
BiBi:*thinking to herself: Yes that is curious normally she goes threw everyone including us to see what our past was like so she can help us and treat us better* Rei has Zanji ever came in here about any wounds or illnesses?
Rei: No the only time he came in was to bring injured students to me....and the reason I haven't looked into his past is because I want his permission about it *she blushes and her eyes sparkle a bit*
Nexus: Ah I get it you like him that's why isn't it?
Rei: *hers eyes get huge and she shouts* NO! How could I like someone as cold arrogant and mean as him *shuts her eyes and her belly growls a bit*
Hey guys im hungry lets go and get something to eat....
Both BiBi and Nexus agree and all three of them head to the Cafeteria...Mean while in the cafeteria
Natsu: COME ON!!!!!! It's lunch time and im HUNGRY DAMN IT!!
Ice: *jumps up and whacks Natsu in the back of the head with his Ice Staff* Can't you be a little more patient?
Natsu: *grabs the back of his head* OUCH YOU BASTARD!!!!!!
Max: *sees what happens and laughs a bit* Natsu its not wise to get shown up by a lower classmate like that haha
Natsu: *has a cold glare* yes Mr. Max.....*mumbles under his breath: As if you haven't been shown up by students before*
Max: WHAT WAS THAT YOU LITTLE!!!!
Grimm: *grabs Max with his one robotic arm and pushes him back* Hey hey hey cool your jets Max you know what happened when you went to attack Natsu the last time right?
Max: Yeah yeah yeah but that was just luck the last time the kid wont get as lucky the next time
Natsu: LUCK!? *goes to jump at Max and Grimm uses both his normal arms and Ice grabs the back of his Jacket* LET ME GO!!! I wanna show him it wasn't luck!!!!
As Rei, Nexus and BiBi are heading to the Cafeteria they all three hear a commotion coming from the cafeteria and they all run and see Max and Natsu being held back from each other and they quickly jump in Nexus with his Kusanagi to Max's forehead and hilt to Natsu's head, Rei using a force shield holding them back and BiBi with her claws out ready to attack the two...
Rei: NATSU! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!? AND MAX WHY ARE OU TRYING TO END UP IN THE MEDIC ROOM AGAIN!?
Nexus: You two just can't get along for TWO SECONDS!? *sighs and sheathes his sword* guys its lunch and please try to get along in line after that we will be apart again
BiBi: *her claws disappear* Next time you two act up I will make you both regret it *she grabs Grimm and pulls him close and hugs him tightly* thank you for stopping these two hun
The lunch bell rings and the 7 go threw the line and Natsu and Ice go sit at their regular table and Nexus, Max, Grimm, and BiBi head to the Instructors lounge while Rei looks around and threw the line and doesn't see Zanji and she gets BiBi to take hers and Zanji's lunch to the lounge and she heads to the Instructor quarters to look for him
Rei: *sees Zanji's door opened a crack and she slowly opens it while knocking* Zanji are you in here?
Zanji: In the back sitting at his desk resting his head on his hands* Y...yeah I'm back here.....whats up?
Rei: *sits in the chair next to Zanji and puts her hand on his shoulder* I didn't see you at lunch....is everything alright?
Zanji: *still with the concerned and worried look* Oh it's lunch sorry I lost track of time.....and yeah.....I'm fine just alot on my mind.......
Rei: *gets a stubborn and annoyed look on her face and spins Zanji to face her and she jumps onto his lap and holds his face in her hands and looks into his eyes and calmly and concernedly says* Zanji....we have known each other for a long time and you know I trust you with all my heart and I know you trust me better than most and you can tell me whats wrong
Zanji: *looking into Rei's eyes and is somewhat stunned from her actions* Yes I do trust you more than anyone else here Rei......what has me down about this test is that we are well......just read my thoughts on my past and you will see why....
Rei: alright *she lightly holds his face and closes her eyes and reads every thought about his past and sees what happened and her eyes shoot open and quickly holds Zanji tightly in a hug* I am so sorry that happened to you....I am so so sorry Zanji
Zanji: *hugs Rei back and lightly says* Hey lets go get something to eat for the past 15 minutes your belly has been growling
Rei smiles and gets off Zanji's lap and they go and have lunch with the others....
The Next Day in the Students Dormitories Ragnaroc is pounding on Natsu's door
Ragnaroc: ALRIGHT PEA BRAIN LETS GO! *all he hears is snoring and he gets a very annoyed look on his face and goes and grabs the fire hose and kicks his door open and shoots Natsu out of his bed with the Fire hose* I SAID WAKE UP PRINCESS!
Natsu: *shoots up soaking wake* WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU YOU COULD HAVE KILLED ME!
Ragnaroc: If that killed you there would be no point in taking you out into the field.....get dressed and meet me at the front gate in 5 minutes and DON'T BE LATE!
Natsu: *his eyes get big and jumps int his closet and changes into his regular street clothes and grabs is grandfathers tonfa's* Alright old timers lets see what you can do *he heads to the front gate and meets Ragnaroc and they both head out into the field*
Ragnaroc: Alright I see your using your Grandfathers Tonfa's and you know there is a secret blade inside of them which will help you out here...Now out here there is a very high chance we will encounter V-Rex's and Oorogorilla's if we do I want you to high tail it out of here
Natsu: Not a chance Rag if we run into one of them then that is prime time to see what I can do
As Ragnaroc is explaining things to Natsu they both hear a thunderous roar from behind them and they turn and see the largest V-Rex Ragnaroc has ever seen and this one is a thunder elemental one with lightning radiating off of it
Ragnaroc: NATSU RUN! I will try and deal with this you go and get Nexus, or Zanji or BiBi *he unsheathes his two Katana's Tiger and Dragon and charges the V-Rex*
Natsu: Not a chance *he smirks and spins the tonfa's around in his hands and charges right behind Rag*
V-Rex: *swings his tail at the two*
a fight breaks loose between Rag and Natsu against the beast and Rag rolls under the beasts tail and slices it with both his Katana's and Natsu jumps onto its tail and run up it and is blasted in the chest by a bolt coming from the horns of the Rex and he crashes onto the ground and Rag jumps up and stabs his swords into the sides of the beast and climbs up and Natsu gets up and smirks and charges again as the beast goes to blast Rag point blank in the face Natsu spins his Tonfa's and cuts the beasts horn of with the retractable blades and lands on his feet crouched to a knee on the other side and Ragnaroc jumps up and slices the beasts head of with a swing of both his swords....
Ragnaroc: Wow Natsu your better than I thought but since you disobeyed me you have homework I want you to Hand Write me a 100 page essay
Natsu: Ah What the hell I just saved your ass and your giving me homework?
The two hear another Roar but this one much louder and they run back to the School as fast as they can....mean while Zanji is standing at Rei's door with something in his hand during the middle of the night
Zanji: *thinking to himself:....I'm sorry Rei.....but this is going to be too hard.....he taps a note to her door over the eye hole and leaves*
The next day Rei finds the note and runs to the Head Masters Office telling him that Zanji is gone and he explains to her that can't be helped the test will go on and about how Natsu helped take down an adolescent elemental V-Rex and they have to fully test his abilities in the exam
