nature disadvantages??

um yea im clear on what the nature's weakness of each other are but what i dont get is this...if ur affinty to a nature like earth...does that mean that ur automatically weak against lightning..even if u dont use earth techs??..like i dont get it when kakuzu got hit with raikiri,why did they mention nature?..when he didnt even use a earth tech, or was he using iron skin? anyway what im askin is this...if u have a earth affinty does that mean when u get hit with lightning techs, ur more vulenerable than a person with a affinity with fire...even tho u didnt use any earth techs??:shrug::shrug:

It's techniques only. Kakuzu was using his iron skin technique until kakashi hit him I thought. :\

Doesn't matter what affinity u have. Ur getting hurt if someone puts a raikiri in ur chest. And no, nature affinities do not mean elements are super effective against u. All elements can hurt u.

ok thats what i thought, and i ask becuase kakuzu wasnt black when he got hit..so i was thinkin "why is he explaining nature" ,so i geuss he was using iron skin..and to the person that said his mask, that was water mask thing for water skills...i feel kinda stupid posting this thread but i liked kakuzu and just wanted to kno what the deal was with him and kashi's match, ty all

Here's how is goes, if Naruto fired a rasenshuriken and Sasuke fired a fire style of equal power they wouldn't cancel each other out Sasukes would absorb Narutos and do more damage, or look at weaknesses if Kakashi uses water dragon against Sasukes fire style the fire style would be destroyed it only applies to techniques someone being a water style user wouldn't have a weakness to earth style by using the rasengan for example, it would probably destroy his technique.
