It has been a while since I've drawn something, so I decided to do something completely different. I combinated my interrests in Lord of the Rings and Naruto together. I don't know if you people are going to like it, but I had fun making it.
We've seen all the map of the Narutoworld, but I always found it so empty, that's why I added geography to the map. Because it can be a bit complicated to distinguish borders and rivers, I've added the map that I used to draw it.
Because not much is known about the geography of most countries, I just drew the things that seemed most logical for that country. Also because I didn't had much space I reduced the names of the hidden villages.
Iwagakure (Hidden stone village):
There's nothing known about this village's geography, but because it's "hidden in the rocks" you can asume it's has much rocks. So I added mainly mountains. Because of the rocky ground, it doesn't have much vegitation. I also made only one small river because I asume they use water that originates from melting snow on the mountains.
Sunagakure (Hidden sand village):
I've seen enough of it's geography in the manga and anime. It's a dessert so it doesn't have vegitation nor much rivers. But because it has to have water, I made one river. Also I made it at some points hilly, especially around the village because in the manga it was clear the village was surrounded by it and we've seen Temari & co hiding in a cave from a sand storm. So it's save to asume there are more of these hils.
Kumogakure (Hidden cloud village):
I've only seen some parts of it's geography when Sasuke tried to capture the 8-tails. I don't could explain properly where the clouds came from, so I just drew some mountains and lakes. The village itself I've surrounded by hills because so the clouds stay longer in the village.
Kirigakure (Hidden mist village):
It's the same as in the cloud village, because mist are more or less clouds. It's surrounded by hills to keep the mist in the village. I also made some vulkanoes on the islands around it, because it remembered me of Hawaii. Hawaii is a series of islands made by a very active volkano, but due to platetectonic new islands keep coming and the old ones erode. I used this to explain to multiple islands and the lave that ends up in the water is mainly responsible for the mist.
Konohagakure (Hidden leave village):
I've seen lots of it's geography. Most of it is covered by trees, but at the back of the village you've got a series of hills. Also there's at least one major river that starts somewhere at the valley of the end.
Takigakure (Hidden waterfall village):
Here I just made some waterfalls and to explain those the terrain had to be a bit hilly.
Kusagakure (Hidden grass village):
Nothing known about this, so I just made it look like some kind of swamp.
Amegakure (Hidden rain village):
Well here I just filled it with lots of lakes, because it rains much, there has to be a large reservoir of water.
Otogakure (Hidden sound village):
Just some trees and mountains, nothing special.
River country:
Rivers of course, I made a delta at coast.
It maybe doesn't look like much, but I always admired Tolkien for the maps he made for LOTR, so I wanted to try it too.
