Isn't it cute that when Naruto was down for the count, unable to beat his "friend" in taijutsu, he decided to borrow more power rather than fighting it out like a man. All of a sudden, when Sasuke steals the chakra and decides to just kill Naruto, the Sharingan deactivated despite the new surge of chakra in Sasuke's body.

Decided to just kill Naruto? He's been attempting it for the majority of the fight, but keeps failing over and over and over and over again.
It was noted as well that his powers have weakened, which happens in a fight that goes on for such a long duration. Also goes to show how bad Sasuke's aim is in base, given how close Naruto was to him. Though Naruto countered beautifully, with such power despite being heavily exhausted.

Isn't the whole 'borrowed power' argument just beating a dead horse? Like honestly they both did it and its not a discredit to either. If you have the power available to you, you take it. Simple. He wasn't unable to beat him, he just pulled it out to get the edge on Naruto. Naruto was the one down for the count, needing more chakra for that last mini-fight. Also, Sasuke took the power on his own, with his own strength, he didn't beg for it like a *****.
