What? Sasuke used the chakra of 9 tailed beasts.

He wasn't unable to beat him, he just pulled it out to get the edge on Naruto. Naruto was the one down for the count, needing more chakra for that last mini-fight. Also, Sasuke took the power on his own, with his own strength, he didn't beg for it like a *****.

By this logic, Sasuke had Itachi eyes throughout most of Part 2 and the Sage granted him the Rinnesharingan that unlocked the power to take chakra from Naruto.
