It was always fanfiction. Kurama acts as a partner, that in no way makes him immune to Genjutsu.

no lie the elmo is getting annoying. It was funny one time when Action Hero/Asriel used it in a thread.
OP: The Last already has a couple of blatant contradictions to the manga. I would take feats from it with a grain of salt. Perfect Jins can break some genjutsu the manga has made that 100% clear.
