Naruto's Fall Inside The Black
Chapter 3
As the eyes of Light and Darkness clash, back in Konoha, Naruto's friends comfort his love.
In Kurenai's house, Sai and Sakura attempt to comfort Hinata.
Hinata: "I k-knew this would happen! Naruto's gone!"
Sai: "....."
Sakura: "Don't worry, Hinata-Chan. Kakashi Sensei will find him. He couldn't have gotten far."
Hinata: "This is all my fault. I should've been more c-caring towards him! He was so confused because, at night, h-he...would....."
Sai: "Get caught in a genjutsu? We know."
Hinata: Then why are we sitting here?! Naruto-Kun's in trouble! A war is coming and Naruto is gone! He's...He's probably captured by Akatsuki! This is serious! Why can't I do anything to help him?"
Sai: "The Akatsuki won't strike early. Madara Uchiha made his statement, and he'll stand by it. Also, I can tell that you're very...troubled and emotionality disturbed by this. Try to calm down, please."
Sakura: "What Sai means is that...you are over reacting. This is serious, you're right, but Naruto is the most powerful ninja in the village. He can take care of his self. He's probably kicking some enemy butt right now!"
Sakura's thoughts: "Naruto-kun....I hope you're okay...."
Staring into the eyes of a a legend, Naruto becomes full of shock, fear, and anger.
Naruto: "You.....you are....."
Madara: "Uchiha...Madara."
Naruto: "You....you KILLED MY PARENTS!"
Madaara: "I do recall doing those events, but right now I want to have a talk."
Naruto: "A TALK!?"
(Naruto goes to punch Madara in the face, but it phases right through Madara)
Madara: "Anger. I like it, but please calm down so I can have a word with you."
Naruto: "......You....YOU MURDERER!"
(Naruto makes another fist and swings at Madara repeatedly, missing every shot.)
Naruto: "WHY CAN'T I HIT YOU?"
Madara: "If you won't calm down, then I'll have to make you."
(Madara looks Naruto in the eye with his Sharingan, casting him in a Genjutsu which paralyzes Naruto.)
Madara: "Now...let's talk."
Naruto: "NO!"
Madara: "It seems as if you have no say in the matter. As you know, my name is Uchiha Madara., but you can just call me ....the darkness."
Naruto: "You're the one casting the genjutsu on me? Why are you making me watch....Pervy Sage....die over and over?"
Madara: "It's simple actually. It was all your fault. Jiraiya trained you to be the hero of the world, the child of prophecy, but yet you couldn't save him. You were too focused on Uchiha Sasuke....a lost soul."
Naruto: "He isn't lost! I will save Sasuke and stop you!"
Madara: "Like how you stopped me sixteen years ago from killing your parents?"
Naruto: "I was a baby! How one earth could I have stopped you?!!"
Madara: "I don't know, but I figured since.....you're our savior, you could've atleast saved two lives, especially your mother and fathers. You aren't the light as you are built up to be...I think you're the opposite...I think you're...clouded by darkess."
Naruto: "I am the light! Konan-Chan said so! She-"
Madara: "Interesting. Konan referred me as the darkness.....before I killed her."
Naruto: "You killed....her?!"
Madara: "She has wilted. Very reminiscent of Minato, Jiraiya, and Kushina. Wouldn't you agree?"
(Naruto, through rage, breaks free of the genjutsu and attacks Madara with a Rasengan he formed, for the first time, by one hand. However, it simply phases through Madara)
Madara: "You're just like the kyuubi, a monster, aswell as your friend..and my pawn, Uchiha Sasuke.
(Naruto goes to access his fox chakra, but Madara grabs his neck, making him look into his eyes)
Madara: "You aren't the light, as the Angel Konan spoke of. You're merely a lit darkness. Perhaps......I''LL SHOW YOU THE TRUTH!"
(Madara warps Naruto into *his world* and Naruto is able to witness everything Madara has seen or heard. Voices flow quickly through Naruto's head, but all stop and one particular voice begins to speak. Nagato AKA Pein.)
Pein: "Jiraiya Sensei, I hope you've trained the Kyuubi so that's he's surpassed you. I hope he isn't a failure like you. Your demise....is Uzumaki Naruto's fault!"
(Then the voice switches to Sasuke Uchiha)
Sasuke: "Naruto! I will break this bond! We aren't friends, we aren't brothers, we aren't anything. I am an Uchiha! You are a monster and a failure!"
(Then it switches to Sakura Haruno)
Sakura: "Naruto, why can't you be more like Sasuke? Why can't you be more powerful and less worthless?!"
(The voice morphs to Minato Namikaze)
Minato: "I'll seal the fox into my son....."
(Madara then appears behind a crying Naruto)
Madara: "Now....was that a fair thing to do? Sealing a monster inside of a mere baby? The fourth Hokage was truly like his ancestors....Hungry for power...He would do anything to win the war...even sacrifice his own son...."
Naruto: "SHUT UP!!!!!!!"
(Naruto turns around to hit Madara, but he see's darkness, and hears more voices. This time, he hears Hinata Hyugas)
Hinata: "I love Naruto-Kun!"
(Kiba's voice quickly follows Hinatas)
Kiba: "Naruto is a dropout! A failure! Perhaps I'll become Hokage one day and take his dream away from him! Not like he deserves it anyways!"
(Kushina's voice follows Kibas)
Kushina: "Naruto....I'm so sorry this monster is inside of you.....But...Don't let anyone ever call you a monster! You aren't one!"
(Madara re-appears behind Naruto)
Madara: "You aren't a monster....You just contain one inside of you. Your mother was right. Don't let anyone call you one....even me. Earlier I called you one, but I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to the monster inside of you. We all have one. YOU aren't a monster yourself... However....how have you reacted to past situations?"
Naruto: "I've....used...the kyuubi's power....But to protect lives!"
Madara: "Did you like the power?"
Naruto: ".......No."
Madara: "Then tell me....why harness the kyuubi's power if you don't intend to use it because you don't like it?"
Naruto: "I...need the power....."
Madara: "Naruto....I think one day, you'll become a hero of this world. But the question I want to know the answer to is this. Why save the world who has wronged you from the beginning?"
Naruto: "Because...I will end the cycle of hatred and peace will be possible!"
Madara: "We have similar beliefs."
Naruto: "No! Your peace is an illusion!"
Madara: "But your pain isn't. It will never vanish. You're the savior of this world, but people still die. Why should you be held responsible? These people only want you when you have power. The same people who pushed you aside all your life.....The people who called you a monster...They don't understand what a monster really is despite being one themselves! You can control the monster though..You can control them.....I can. We aren't so different afterall, now are we?"
Naruto: "........"
Madara: "We'll meet again, Naruto."
(Madara begins to absorb Naruto back into reality, but Naruto awakens his kyuubi chakra, activating seven tails. However, Naruto is on top of the kyuubi, instead of being possessed)
Madara: "The power of the kyuubi never ceases to amaze me."
Naruto: "LEAVE ME ALONE!"
Madara: "Use the darkness, Naruto. It will be your greatest ally! Don't become the monster! CONTROL the monster! Use it!"
(Naruto goes to charge a chakra blast, but Madara uses his Sharingan to control the Kyuubi, forcing Naruto to resort back to his nomral form)
Madara: "As I said.....We'll meet again."
(Naruto passes out while Madara escorts him out of the genjutsu. As Madara teleports away, Kakashi rushes to Naruto)
Kakashi: "Naruto!!!!"
Naruto: "All my fault....I'm....not a....monster.....Everyone else....is....a...monster...."
Kakashi: "Naruto......"
Naruto: "Kakashi...Sensei....It's all....my fault....I didn't mean...to be weak.....But...these people....don't....deserve to be saved.......I....am....-"
(Naruto passes out)
Kakashi's thoughts: "What is he talking about?! Naruto....."
Miles away, somewhere in the Land of Fire, Madara arrives, via teleportation in a forest. He stumbles onto the ground)
Madara: "Argh.....Seems as if I underestimated...Naruto. I'll have to walk from here on out. My sharingan is too weak.....He is....Interesting....Harnessing the power of the kyuubi...He truly is like me."
(Madara walks away as rain befalls upon him)
Back in Konoha, Naruto is rushed to the hospital.
Kakashi: "Be careful with him. He's a feisty one when he wakes up."
Medic: "Okay. He'll be out for the rest of the night, okay?"
Kakashi: "Okay. He needs the rest anyways."
Kakashi's thoughts: "Naruto...Clear your head."
(Kakashi walks out to the waiting room)
Sai: "How is Naruto?"
Kakashi: "He'll be fine, but this was definitely the result of Genjutsu."
Sai: "Uchiha...Madara..."
Sakura: "He's behind this?!"
Kakahshi: "I think so. Either way, we need to be alert at all times. Where's Hinata by the way?"
Sakura: "At Kurenai Sensei's home, sleeping. She cried herself to sleep."
Kakashi: "When Naruto awakes, make sure she's here. Naruto needs alot of rest at this point. She needs to comfort him. You two need to help prepare for the war."
Sakura: "What will you be doing?"
Kakashi: "Looking for The Founder Of Konoha: Uchiha Madara!"
