Chapter 12: Pain
"Just who the hell are you?" I asked the strange orange haired man.
"I told you. We are pain," He replied.
"I have never heard of you Pain. But I know one thing, Zetsu was important. And you just killed him. Time to return the favor!" I screamed as I lunged at him, holding my sword. The large bald man stepped in between us and allowed me to strike him. My blade only cut his cloak and didn't even scratch him. With a powerful strike of his arm, I went flying.
They began to move around. One man stood all the way in the back. The man with a ponytail stood in front of him. The talking man stood in front of him. The fat man and the man with the long hair stood at both sides of that man. The bald man stood in front, making a giant arrow formation.
I performed handsigns for fireball jutsu and the massive inferno blasted towards them. The fat man jumped in front and held out his hands. In an instant the fireball was gone.
"Dammit! Alright, if conventional jutsu wont work then I will have to up the ante. Amaterasu!" I yelled as the fat man was engulfed in black flames. However after only an instant the flames were gone. I was stunned as the fat man recieved very few burns. He went back to his post and the bald man stepped forward. He detached his arm and hundreds of missiles came pouring out and flying towards me. I quickly created a susanoo skeleton to block it. I barely made it.
Suddenly something whizzed past my ear , cutting my cheek and impaling the wall behind me. I noticed there was a small hole in my susanoo and in the wall was a black rod. I looked forward to see that the talking man had throne it.
"Sasuke! Those black rods can cut through chakra! Get back! We need to come up with a plan!" Karin yelled out behind me.
"Shut Up Karin! I know what it did!" I stepped back towards Suigetsu, Jugo and Karin.
"Sasuke," Karin whispered, "see their formation? It is a defensive one. The man in front is strong and durable to take hits and do damage. The fat one is close to the front to absorb Ninjutsu. The man to the other side can rip out souls and is dangerous to go near. The one behind the man in the middle is a summoner. He is probably going to summon the same things Naruto summoned in Konoha based on the rinnegan and piercings. He is behind the others in order to prevent him from dieing in the event he uses summons. I dont know what the middle one or the one in the back do, but the middle one must have an offensive or defensive ability and the one in back must have an important supplimentary ability that is so important that he must be protected!"
"I see what you're saying. So we take out the one in back first and then go from there. Suigetsu, Jugo, try to get behind them in any way you can. When you get an opening take him out as quickly as possible. Use Zabuza's sword to behead him so he wont survive! I will distract the defense with Amaterasu. If you get a chance to kill the summoner, do so and get out of there!"
Jugo and Suigetsu split up hid in the shadows. I stood up and faced the group of men. Amaterasu flames suddenly appeared on the bald man and the man with long hair at the same time. The fat man quickly moved to absorb the flames. I moved forward, charging my unblockable chidori sword and I rushed the middle man. He stood there, unflinching. His eyes pulsed and the next thing I know, I am flying back towards Karin with incredible force.
"Damn, what did you hit me with?"
I look behind the middle man to see that Suigetsu and Jugo are about to kill the back man. Just as Suigetsu moves to cut his head off, the man ducked and kicked Suigetsu hard, sending him flying. Jugo started to pounce on the summoner but the middle man said something.
"Shinra Tensei," he said and Jugo went flying into the cieling before falling to the ground in front of them.
"How did he do that?" I thought to myself. I looked over at the fat man who had finished getting rid of the black flames. I noticed he was looking at the man in the back the whole time.
"Could he have said somethng? No, I didnt hear him say anything," I said as I rushed the fat man, again I charged my lightning sword and I went at him. The fat man absorbed the lightning, but it didn't stop my blade.
Out of nowhere the man ducked and the bald man came by with a powerful kick to my ribs. I fell to the ground. Blood gushed everywhere. He caved in my ribcage. What a powerful kick! I looked up at them. They were all watching the fat man. Could they have alerted him? But how?
Suddenly the sound of metal cutting flesh resonated in the room, followed by the body and head of the man in the back falling to the ground. The man in the middle turned around to see Suigetsu running away from the man in the back and cleaving off the head of the summoner ahead of him. Suddenly the bald man's scalp opened and fired a beam of energy that vaporized Suigetsu. His water turned to steam and his sword and scroll containing the other hidden mist swords fell to the ground. Suigetsu was no more.
The men rearanged themselves again. The talking man took the front while the long haired man and the bald man stood behind the fat man.
"It is regretable that we lost Naraka and Animal. We cannot lose Preta as well," The man said. So they do have names, this Pain. Preta must be the fat man. They are defending him because of his chakra eating abilty. But the man in front has incredible power. Anything that comes near him is sent flying. What incredible power.
"Bansho tennin!" The man yelled as he held his hand toward Jugo. Jugo suddenly flew through the air and toward the man's hand. But before he could get close, the long haired man grabbed him. As he pulled out his soul, Jugo unleashed a massive chakra blast that blew out the man's front side and both of them fell to the ground.
"I've lost Suigetsu and Jugo. But we have killed three of them. The problem being. These three are a hell of a lot stronger."
