[Question] Narutobase Debate Tournament

First off I'd like to say that I don't normally do these kinds of things, but in this instance I can't help but to address the issue. As many of you know there was recently a Narutobase Debate Tournament going on in the versus section. This was a collective effort of over 40 members to do something positive for the base, and spark the discussion and competitiveness that has been beyond lackluster from both the Naruto Discussion and Versus sections as of late.

What I don't understand is why everyone of these threads were deleted? How were these threads in any way breaking the rules? Also, even if they were breaking the rules (which some of them were) why the hell would you wait four entire days when the debates are reaching their conclusion to delete them all without any prior warning? The very least you could do is allow the people involved to get their posts back, many of the members involved worked really hard on preparing for their respective debates, and I fail to see what was so detrimental about this tournament that whomever deleted the threads felt it was necessary. For shit sakes the prizes themselves were premium memberships to help the site.

I dislike this feeling of ambiguity between the mods, and admins in this situation, and I request that you provide us with an explanation as to why you did what you did. Because personally, while I feel that this is complete and utter bull, I would also like to give you the opportunity to explain to all of the members involved who feel the same way as I do, and for those who aren't aware yet that you actually have a legitimate reason. By the way if I sound upset that's because I am, and if you aren't a Mod/Admin, and don't have anything better to say than, "You mad" I suggest you go pound some sand.

So what? Delete the spam comments then. If every time there was spam in a thread, and instead of the spam comment being deleted the thread was there would never be any damn threads.

Even though I am not the one that deleted the threads, I do have a comment on them.
The versus section is not member verses member. If you take that argument to post it there, then you can better post it in the Battle Arena, which indeed is for member versus member, but then in RP. Both of these sections are NOT for these kinds of threads. The section where they would not have been deleted would have been Chatterbox, where I moved one or two to.
Before attacking people that do their job, think of why it could possibly be they are deleted, in this case (in my opinion), for posting in the wrong section.
Then again, I would have moved them, and before you attack me, I did not delete them.

When they are 70-140 posts in a thread and only 7-8 of them on topic then it's ridiculous to expect that anyone would keep cleaning after you.

Please make the debate threads within group. If you want one on one discussion it's the best to handle it that way. It's neat and it's easier to manage them in there.

Let me know the name of the participants and thread topics you still want to finish your debate with and I will copy paste the respective threads in your group( with legit posts minus spam). You can carry it on in there. In there it would be easy for you to keep track of those threads and the group admin can keep it organized for you guys.


Edit: Threads are cleaned and moved back for now but please keep the forum rules in mind next time around. You can copy paste your arguments from it.
