Yeah. The only reason though is plot, bad judgement & practically running face first into an idiotic corner with the story. Wish it hadn't happened

But on topic, I'd say Naruto would beat them individually but I don't know about both at the same time. He's familiar with Nagato as well as counters & he outsmarted Preta path at a much lower level than he is now. Still a threat but I'm positive he could do it.
