Naruto without the Nine-Tails

How would he have fared against Sasuke at the Valley Of The End, in part one?

Sasuke in this scenario has no curse-mark.

And Naruto has no access to any Nine-Tails chakra at all.


In my opinion, I found him lacking at the beginning of the fight when he wasn't using Nine-Tails chakra, all of his attacks were read through and countered by Sasuke and his only chance at winning was through Rasengan or Shadow-clone spam. Despite the fact that he initiated the fight, he had to tap into a foreign source twice in order to come close to winning.

And don't say Naruto was "holding back", if his only way to bring Sasuke back was through using so much power that he would end up killing Sasuke, then he's not really all that strong on his own merit is he?

I believe his mission was to capture Sasuke not kill him. Like I said before, if his only means of winning is by killing Sasuke with power beyond his own, then he really isn't all that.

He needed Kurama chakra because he was low on his own. In a real death match he summons the chief Toad Gamabunta at the start and rapes Sasuke low difficulty. Sasuke is more skilled physically but that boss summon is too much for Sasuke he dies a terrible death.

This isn't bait. I just wanted an actual conversation over something that was bugging me in the anime. Making counter threads isn't..I really don't understand counter-thread accusations. There's no point in making "counter-threads". I'm well aware that the majority of the users on this site disagree with me, so to what end would a counter-thread lead to?

I don't think you fully understood what the OP was asking. We are talking about Part I Naruto and Sasuke. The 1st VOTE fight there is no Sage Mode for Naruto yet.

And as to the others with the argument about summoning Gamabunta. It wasn't because he was out of chakra. Jiraiya spefically pushed Naruto off a cliff for his summoning training because on his own he was only summoning tadpoles. In order to get Gamabunta he need access to his "red chakra" (Kurama) which, at the time, was only accessible when his life was in danger.

That's why Jiraiya pushed him off the cliff, and that's why he was able to summon him during the Gaara fight.

Even without having Kurama,If he was really born from Kushina,Then his Chakra will still be Massive,considering hes an Uzumaki and kurama's chakra has already modified his from birth...
Hes summoning Gamabunta if its get serious,and Gamabunta is owning Sasuke,except sasuke can put Him under a genjutsu,whuch he wasnt even yet capable of..

Nah..You know its a lie bro...with everything Naruto knew,and the teamwork he showed against Garra not factoring kurama's chakra..Naruto would have dealt the hurt on Sasuke if he summoned Gamabunta...

If former, I suppose Naruto wouldn't suck much in basics as he did because of Kurama. But yes, sharingan would give tremendous advantage to Sasuke.
