I have to hand it to Naruto, he has controlled chakra in a big mass with relative ease that's not easy to control, even surpassing his father.

Like he was able to use both Sage Mode and Full Tailed Beast mode with no flaws, whereas. Minato had trouble juggling Sage Mode for long.

He was even able to use many shadow clones without any defect in one of them. And learned Rasengan at a Genin age.

Even through out this war, he shown great improvement. To the point he no longer needs clones to use Rasengan.

But he is only good at handling mass chakra, not shaping or molding it at precise ratios and forms.

Sakura on the other hand still surpass Naruto.

Firstly, it takes great chakra control (That of an Kage) to use Medical Ninjutsu effectively.

Secondly, using the powerful punches requires precise chakra control. Perfectly flowing chakra at a good ratio at her fists to bring anything down, which btw has to be precise, otherwise she might break her hand or arm.

Thirdly, at a young age, she is shown to surpass both Naruto and Sasuke with water walking exercises and tree climbing, ON HER FIRST ATTEMPT! This is very important, she's basically a chakra control genius.

And lastly fourth, she was able to both focus and absorb chakra on one spot for 3 years. Which is rather impressive given she sleeps and was knocked out unconscious at times.

So Sakura > Naruto in the Chakra Control.

Your point was that wielding senjutsu was a feat of a large chakra pool than that of chakra control. Regardless, if he failed or not, the end results were that he gained considerably masterful "Chakra control". Control the likes of which, Jiraya failed to accomplish.
