Kurama didn't come out in Naruto Vs. Sasuke, it wouldn't in this fight either. His seal was very strong at that point in time.

Croassroads was talking about if his life was faced with the danger then kurama would of responded accordingly.

Naruto always used his power out of desperation.

Obviously a desperate situation calls for a desperate act.

I'm not really sure about plot shielded, but that fight was pretty fishy. Bijuu are supposed to be so powerful, yet Shukaku is having trouble against Bunta and a giant fox transformation. Getting arms cut off, yet not using sand to replace it, and then their was such a gaping flaw in Gaara's transformation. He comes out of Shukaku's head and has no defense. No sand comes to protect him and all one has to do to win is wake him up. I can forgive the Bijuudama thing as Kishi probably never thought that thing up at that point.

The Tailed beast concept didn't exist at the time, it was just a sand demon at that fight. Kishi hadn't thought of the Bijuu Dama.

It was a fair fight, Naruto won fairly.

Plot shield?? I agree to some extent, probably Kishi didn't plan about bijuu-dama at that point of time, but if Shukaku could have used it, I think Kurama could have taken initiative since Kurama himself never wanted Naruto to die, for the sake of his own existence...:yeah:
