Disclaimer: This Fanfic idea is to create a understanding of the past history of the Narutoverse, using factual evidence provided by Kishimmoto and using the addition of fictional characters and information to expand upon the already known tales.
In the beginning before the Shinobi and the ninja system the world was a dark destructive realm to live in. The people of the world were divided into clans mainly known as military forces always fighting and destroying for the sake of power. Over time the clans came to learn the ways of the samurai fighting in continuous bloody battles for power and land. Our story begins on a dark cold spring night on an eve of a massive battle and an occurrence that will shape the samurai's destiny. A man in a cloak walks silently through the black in an old forest heading to an unknown destination.
Meanwhile a few miles away outside Mononobe Clan village the Kusunoki clan with their leaders Masashige Kusunoki and his son Zenryoku Kusunoki head two battalions creeping in the black cold night silently approaching the village to lay siege to the sleeping samurai clan.
Masashige silenty commands his second to give the orders to his son by means of the Gamba and thus ordering him to take the right flank of the village and to completely surround them from all sides. When all were in position the signal was passed around the perrimeter to have archers ready their bows and aim for the multiple amount of sentry gaurding the battlements that surrounded the village and thus they let loose their arrows swiftly striking the gaurds in their mouths to strike through to the spine instantly killing them with little commotion. They all then silently crept to the walls launching grappling hooks up the walls for climbers to get to the gate and open it for the small force to creep in the village. Iwaaka a swift runner of the Kusunoki clan quickly climbed the wall to run quietly to the gate chamber above the actual gate swiftly dispatched a couple of gaurds slicing through their necks preventing any sound and opened the gate by pulling the chains that connect to the gate mechanisim.
Iwaaka: *smirking at the dead bodies as he pulls the chains to open the gates* Hehe never stood a chance what a excuse for a samurai shame they weren't of any resitance a good little fight would have been fun though this is after all a swift silent deployment to deal major damage to this sorry clan.
The signal was then risen that the gate was open to allow the clan to enter the village and begin the assault.
Masashige: *quietly giving the order* Zenryoku advance with your men covering the right hand side of the village, i shall lead with assault of the left hand side
Zenryoku: *bowing as he croutches opposite him* Yes Shogun-Sama
Both battalions of samurai then enter into the village heading for the directions given and keeping to shadows as much as they could to sneak up to any town gaurd they may approach and swiftly dispatch them to not alert any other main forces in the village to come and ruin their silent assault. Zenryoku's second hand man Luiz creeps up behind a un-suspecting guard
Luiz: Silent Killing Method * grabbing the guard from behind covering his mouth and sending the blade of a wakizashi down the center of the spine and slicing outwards to instantly neutralize the target*
Luiz then drags the body into the shadows of a building as the other samurai slowly dispatch several other gaurds. Meanwhile on the other side of the village Masashige and his battalion dispatch several other gaurds while one unexpected gaurd watches silently and sees his escape route to warn the shogun of the assault as the invaders continue their sneaking around eventually entering the city center where they are greeted by 20 enemy samurai who charge the group under Masashiges control but are cut down swifty from behind by Zenryoku and his men preventing to much disturbance of the night. The escaped guard rushes to Mononobe Monochi's chamber
Guard: *out of breath* Huff Huff Shogun Sama grave news there are invaders in the village that bastard Kusunoki clan have cowardly attacked us with a stealthy assault
Monochi wakes with a grumpy howl picking up his katana by the bed side and throws it at the gaurd peircing him and sending him into the wall behind him.
Monochi: Arrrgh stupid fool i hate being woken so abruptly you there Keoto gather your elite gaurdsmen and send forth the order to counter attack we shall drive back these weasils from our home
Keoto: Yes Lord Monochi
Keoto runs out the door to the elite guardsmen barracks thrusting the door open and begins shouting at his top of the voice
Keoto: Wake up you lazy pieces of shit we have invaders in our midst prepare for battle we must protect Lord Monochi at all cost
The elite guard scramble out their beds tripping as they rush in such a hurry to apply their battle armour and swords and begin rushing out the door following Keoto who meets Monochi at the road that leads to the village center as the sound of gaurds shouting and blowing horns to signal the village to wake and prepare for battle.
Keoto: Lord Monochi our men are assembled we await your orders
Monochi: Follow me you darn messy bunch, soon as this silly mess is done il be having you drilled til you manage to dress properly half you lots armor are not properly applied, now we shall head to the town center!
Elite gaurd shout in agreement and rush down the road following Monochi into battle. Meanwhile in the village center the gaurds become thicker in numbers as they begin countering the assault and pushing the invaders into a single side surprising Masashige to their suddeness of their responce.
Masashige: Damn those stupid Mononobe dogs how did they manage to respond so quickly
Zenryoku: Father seems you got sloppy and didnt kill all the gaurds you encountered
Masashige: Shut it fool, you watch your tougne with me boy, anyway, order the retreat we have killed many of them.
Zenryoku: Okays old man, All men retreat our tactical assault has worked.
They begin to start moving out towards the gate when Monochi and his elite gaurd come rushing through but Zenryoku and Masashige engage them to slow them down Masashige clashes with Monochi as Zenryoku clashes with Keoto
Monochi: Sheez your one sly fox you old bastard Masashige-sama , i cant believe youd resort to such tactics and you call yourself a samurai wheres your pride god dammit.
Masashige: Shut it , war is war any method works pride may be a samurai's way but when dealing with pheasants like you who are a pest anything goes besides you killed my daughter ya bastard and i will do anything to have you pay back her life *Masashige then lunges forwards striking with a horizontal attack* Devil's Head splitter Technique
Monochi simply counters with a simple block, whist Zenryoku and Keoto exchange blows continously parrying each others attacks with pinpoint accuracy as they both focus on the showdown of the shogun.
