Prologue 1
A new mission? The 99th soul!
Enter Death City.
Walking the streets of Death City, Maka and her partner Soul are beginning the dreadful week of school ahead of them.
Maka: "Dr. Stein said this would be the most challenging week of school in DMWA history. This will be awful."
Soul: "Relax, Maka. You're a top grade student. It's uncool for you to act this way."
Maka: "Well...I was referring to you, Soul."
Soul: "Heh, it's just a test. What's the worst thing they can do? Give me detention for flunking? That just means Black*Star and I get some more time to relax."
Maka: "No one told you?!"
Soul: "Told me what?"
Maka: "If you fail this test, then you'll never be a Death Scythe, even if you capture all ninety-nine kishin souls, and one witch soul."
Soul: "What?! But we are so close! We are only two away."
Soul's thoughts: "Man, calm down. You'll ace this and become the ultimate weapon. Stop being uncool."
Soul: "Guess I'll have to barrow your papers then."
Maka: "Yeah, I guess-Wait what?"
Soul: "I'm just saying, If I-"
(Suddenly, Death appears through a shopping window near them)
Death: "Hello Maka! How are you and Soul today?"
(Soul turns around, his face consumed with confusion and annoyance, while Maka turns around with a face of happiness and interest)
Soul: "Yeah?"
Maka: "Shinigami-Sama?"
Death: "Good morning kids! I bet you two want to know why I called you to my office, right?"
Soul: "Heh?"
Maka: "Sir....you didn't call us to your office."
Death: "Oh? Well, I should have. Come to my office! Please."
Maka: "Okay."
Soul: "Whatever."
(Death vanishes from the mirror, and Maka begins to write 42-42-564, the code to enter his room, on the miror)
Maka: "What do you thing he wants?"
Soul: "I dunno, but if it prevents us from going to school, I'm fine with it."
(Maka finishes writing the code, and they walk through the mirror, appearing infront of Death)
Soul: "Hey, Maka, where's your father?"
Maka: "Don't call him that."
Death: "Spirit said he went to check on Maka at home this morning. Did he not see you?"
Maka: "No! I knew he wasn't much of a father, but...."
(Maka shares a glance with Soul)
Maka: "You don't think.."
Soul: "Wouldn't surprise me."
At Maka's home.
Spirit: "Today has been amazing! Want some more drinks?"
(Blair smiles)
Blair: "Sure! Meow!"
Back in Death's room
Maka: "That pervert!"
Soul: "Can you blame him?"
Death: "Besides your father's antics, there's a reason why I called you two here. I hear you've collected nearly one hundred souls."
Maka: "Ninety-eight."
Soul: "One more kishin to go, and then a witch soul. Then I'll be a Death Scythe. A high rank, fitting a cool guy."
Maka: "Shinigame-Sama, what does the numbers of souls we have collected have to do with this meeting?"
Death: "Oh, everything. I needed to select a group of students who needed exactly one more kishin soul."
Soul: "That rules Black*Star out. He still has none."
Maka: "Poor Tsubaki."
Soul: "But, then why not pick your son? He needs only one more, right?"
Maka: "Plus, he's stronger than we'll ever hope to be."
(Maka and Soul sigh)
Death: "He needs two more kishin souls, due to him wielding two weapons. Realistically, he would be a better choice, but you two fit the bull perfectly. Plus, due to past experience, you two have the perfect chance to defeat this kishin soul."
Soul: "Why's that?"
Death: "He has a thing for snakes, like the witch Medusa. He also is a very talented scientist. I honestly though about sending Dr. Stein, but they'd probably become friends than fight."
Maka: "Where is this soul located?"
Death: "In a place you've never seen, nor heard of before. It's really stunning though. I visited it once. Had a cup of delicious tea with some traveler. Nice guy, although a but too perverted. Reminded me of Spirit to much, plus he had a thing for toads which is horrible for my skin."
Soul: "Back to the place..."
Death: "Ah yes. This place is actually in a different realm, so to speak. A different part of the world. It's much like here, but...well, some things work differently."
Soul: "So? Whatever. We need the soul. We accept."
Maka: "He's right. When should we depart?"
Death: "Soon. But, I'll let finish you test first! Dr. Stein agreed to give you the full test today, instead of sections of it this week. I'll even bring you to school!"
Maka: ".....Thank you."
Soul: "Man..."
In one of Orochimaru's many labs......
Kabuto, who's nearly taken over by the cells of his former mentor: "It was gracious of Madara to lend me one of his many Uchiha eyes, especially before a war, but then again, with my secret weapon, he really had no other choice. The fool is so unaware.....This eye is unlike all the others. More powerful than his own, I imagine. With these tools, and my power...I'll do Orochimaru-sama's dream, and unlock the secrets of this world!"

Thoughts so far? It'll make more sense as it goes along. I have to set up the plot. I hope all of you enjoyed the little prologue. Two more prologues, and then full chapters!
