Chapter 4
Death or Revival? The conclusion of battle!
At the battle site, home of the FireLord, the battle comes to a close.
Slowly, blood drips on the ground as Azula looks down in horror. Ty Lee stares across the field in dis-belief as Maka pulls Soul's blade out of Azula's back.
Ty Lee: "AZULA!"
(Ty Lee runs to Azula as she slowly collapses on the ground. Maka, and a re-transformed human Soul, stare at them, with no emotions.)
Ty Lee: "Azula! NO!"
(Ty Lee begins to cry, massively, as she embraces Azula via a hug.)
Ty Lee: "A-......-A-zula......."
Soul: "Do we finish her too?"
Maka: "No. Her soul is human. We only need Azula's."
Soul: "Then let's get it."
(Soul partially transforms his arm, but Maka puts her arm out infront of him)
Maka: "Soul....Let's wait and let them have their goodbye."
(Soul stares at them)
Soul: "Fine. A kishin doesn't deserve that, but I really don't care. Either way, I'm closer to becoming a death scythe."
Ty Lee: "...A-Azula, I-I'm.....so sorry."
Azula: "I.....I'm dying? This can't be happening.....I'm.....the FireLord....Destined for greatness....Not this...."
Ty Lee: "Azula, please! Save your energy!"
Azula: "No...I'm done. I deserved this afterall. The world was too boring. Me...becoming FireLord was a disaster. It...wasn't fun anymore...I g-guess."
(Azula begins to cough blood up)
Soul: "She'll be dead soon, won't she Maka?"
(Maka just stares at Azula and Ty Lee)
Soul: "Maka?"
Maka: "Y-yeah."
Azula: "Well...look on the bright side of this."
Ty Lee: "Bright side? There is no bright side! YOU'RE DYING! Azula, please stay strong. Don't die!"
Azula: "I may be strong....on the outside, but...I'm broken on the inside. Sorry, but it's true. I'm not perfect."
Ty Lee: "Yes. Yes you are!"
Azula: "No, I'm not....Back to my point. Atleast I had the opportunity to fight alongside my best friend...in my final moments. Ty Lee, I need to tell you something."
Ty Lee: ".........."
Azula: "I-.....I forgive you. For...everything."
(Ty Lee is driven with shock, but her tears resurface when Azula begins to cough up more blood)
Ty Lee: "Azula...Don't...."
Azula: "I....love you......Ty Lee."
(Azula closes her eyes, and Ty Lee hugs her body, tears flowing down her face.)
Soul: "Maka....It's time."
Maka: "I know, Soul."
(Azula's body begins to glow, and it disperses into into the air. A black soul, with a spec of light in it lifts up in the air and Soul grabs it, all while Ty Lee looks in shock. Soul eats the soul, and doesn't make his usual slurping sound)
Maka: "Soul? What is it?"
Soul: "I don't know. Tasted funny. Must be because we're in a different world. Well, Maka let's go, or should we finish...."
(Soul turns around and notices that Ty Lee is gone.)
Maka: "She's gone."
Soul: "Good. Now we can finally go home, huh?"
Maka: "Something doesn't feel right. I can still sense a dark soul, the one from before."
Soul: "So what?" We're done here."
Maka: "We should go to Lord Death as soon as possible."
Soul: "We have to contact him? Ah man. Uncool."
Maka: "Let's go...."
(Maka and Soul walk off to another direction)
The ground holds pain, but the air holds venom.
Kabuto, on the clay bird, is scanning the area, when he is suddenly shocked.
Kabuto: "What? The power I felt earlier....has decreased? Those two kids must have defeated the other power source. How interesting....Hm?
(Kabuto hears a loud cry below him.)
Kabuto: "What's this? I can still feel the power source...., but it's very minimal now. Perhaps it's only it's clothing or something. Still, with a little DNA......Maybe I could take out those kids without doing a thing."
In the woods, tears fall.
Ty Lee runs, with tears flowing down her face, through the woods. She slips and falls, and just lays there screaming and crying. Suddenly, she hears a noise and looks up to see a half man-half snake.
Kabuto: "Hello. Perhaps, I can help you?"
