Naruto: The Last Soul​

Chapter 1​

Kabuto The Snake! Maka and Soul's power!​

Enter Orochimaru's banded lab.

Maka rushes towards Kabuto, Soul in hand, but Kabuto simply let's her hit him.

Maka: "That fast?"

Soul: "Maka! This isn't him!"

(The Kabuto clone disperses into snakes)

Maka: "What?"

Soul: "Get back!"

(Maka flips back, while Kabuto walks out of the shadows infront of where the clone was standing)

Kabuto: "That attack was very powerful. Surprising for a girl your age. Your attack stands very tall, but how will your defense favor?"

(Kabuto does his signature, pushing his glasses back onto his face, and smiles)




Enter trail to Ba Sing Se



Azula: "This world has fallen. It's just us. You, me, family, and random merchants trying to survive in hard times. How pathetic."

Ty Lee: "Actually, I think it's the best thing to happen! It means I get to spend more time with you!"

Azula: "But still-"

Ty Lee: "Azula, I'm...sorry for what I did to you. I love you, but I couldn't let you hurt Mai. She has Zuko. You were going crazy. I...made mistake. I'll never forgive myself. I'm so sorry, Azula."

Azula: "I don't blame you very turning against me. Very smart move, actually, but it still hurt. I'll never forgive you. Not even on my dying breath."

(Ty Lee becomes speechless and begins to cry)

Azula: "That doesn't mean I won't take you shopping. We're still friends. Now stop crying and let's go."





In the lab

Kabuto and Maka exchange blows. He uses his hands, while she uses Soul. Kabuto jumps and kicks Maka down.


Kabuto: "Give yp?"

Maka: "No!"

(Maka jumps and slashes his feet, causing his robe to tear a little. He grabs Soul and they begin a tug of war. Kabuto punches Maka away, and grabs Soul)

Kabuto: "This is heavy...I'm not sure if I...."

(Kabuto gets a little shock from Soul and drops him)

Kabuto: "What was that?"

(Maka picks Soul up while Kabuto jumps to the rafters)




In Ba Sing Se


Azula: "We're finally here."

Ty Lee: "This place holds alot of memories, doesn't it? Good ones too."

Azula: "I guess...."

Ty Lee: "....Azula..."



Back in the lab

Snakes swarm around Maka, as she cuts them up using Soul.

Soul: "I can literally taste the venom! Uncool! Hurry up and get's this guy's soul. I need it."

Maka: "I'm trying!"

Kabuto: "But failing. I've done no more than minor rank jutsu."

Soul: "What is this jutsu he's talking about?"

Maka: "Forget it. We need to take him out fast."

Soul: "That move, huh?"

(Maka twirls Soul around and he begins to glow bigger, as their souls interact.)

Maka and Soul: "Witch-Hunt Slash!"

(A big wave heads towards Kabuto)

Kabuto: "Summoning! Rashomon!"

(1 Rashoman gate appears and takes the blow)

Kabuto: "Strong attack, but a really poor move. It goes in one direction, so I could've easily dodged it. Now, let's test your combat skills again."

(Kabuto pulls out a kunai and dashes at Maka. Kabuto attacks her feet, but she jumps. While in the air, his talk gets in her face, but Soul cuts it.)

Kabuto: "Blood? That's a first. I feel the need to return the favor."

(Kabuto summons a massive blade of chakra)

Kabuto: "Chakra scalpel!"

(Soul is able to take the strike thanks to Maka's quick thinking. Maka kicks Kabuto in the face, causing him to fall)

Kabuto: "Heh."

Soul: "Now!"

(Maka strikes at Kabuto's chest)

Kabuto: "Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!"

(Snakes thrust from his arms and grab Maka and Soul)

Soul: "I can't break out!"

Maka: "Me either!"

Kabuto: "Mouses...Even the biggest are small in the eyes of a snake, but you're small. And worthless."

Soul: "Worthless?!"

(Soul transforms back into a human and punches Kabuto in the face. Kabuto grabs his hand while he lands on the other side and captures him with snakes)

Kabuto: "You remind me of the one who killed my mentor. Your fate will be similar as his will soon be."

Soul: "Now Maka!"

Maka: "Soul!"

(Maka and Soul match wave lengths and cause a shock to form between them, with Kabuto in the crossfire. Shocked, Kabuto jumps away.)

Kabuto: "....What....was...that?!"

Maka: "Our soul energy."

(Soul transforms back into a scythe)

Maka: "Let's end this.)

(Maka runs at Kabuto swiping at him, but he narrowly dodges every shot. He then jumps from one side of the room to the other.)

Kabuto: "This.....what is this?! I....am loosing. These people...kids..are stronger than me? No! I won't let them!"

(Kabuto grabs the eye he had earlier and plants into his own, while Maka runs at him. When the get closer, he looks up, hood falling off, and blood pours from his right Sharingan eye)

Maka: "KISHIN HUNT!"

(Soul turns into a rainbowish color and Maka strikes at Kabuto)

Kabuto: "Demonic Illusion! Space Time Transfer!"

(Kabuto reverses the attack, and sends the same one against Soul. While the clash, his Space time transfer sucks them both up)

Kabuto: "No! Why is it taking me?! This eye...."

(Kabuto begins to bleed everywhere)

Kabuto: "It's...It's...killing me?!"

(Kabuto crushes the eye, after oulling it out)

Maka and Soul: "Ahhh!"

(As the smoke clears, the base is empty.)




Enter Ba Seng Se.


Azula: "This place is full of ashes. Memories at it's best,"

Ty Lee: "Azula, are you okay? You seem..alot more darker and,,,eveil lately."

Azula: "Just because I'm not as perky as you, doesn't mean anything. The status of being Firelord is a big job. I have to be strong."

Ty Lee: "Or we could go home and sleep! We'll not even go shopping!"

Azula: "An offer I can't refuse. I just wish this place wasn't so boring."

Ty Lee: "Something big will happen soon! Trust me!"

(They begin to walk home)




Enter the Earth Kingdom.

Soul and Maka come falling from the sky and land in a tree.


Maka: "Soul....you okay?"

Soul: "Yeah..."

(Maka looks up and notices they aren't where they were)

Maka: "Where...are we?!

Soul: "Hell If I know."

Maka: "Where's the snake guy!?"

Soul: "....I think...he's gone, Maka."

Maka: "But I can feel....some....dark soul. Somewhere."

Soul: "It can stay hidden. I'm beat."

Maka: "Soul, we are lost!"

Soul: "........"

Maka: "Soul!!"

Soul: "I'm resting!"

Maka: "In a tree?"

Soul: "Yeah."

Maka: "Of course. That's what everyone who is lost does."

(Maka begins to sleep aswell)

Next time! Chapter 2! A soul's rest! Darkness approaches!​

Thoughts? I know the battle was quick, but I still liked it. Fast pace. The others will be better. I know it was a short chapter, and I could've added more of Soul/Maka where are we? But that's for the next chapter!
