the village will, but I doubt his friends will (the 11 ninjas etc).

And don't forget Sakura. Do you really think she'll obey any of his orders? Right now she acts like a mother figure to Naruto & she'll be able to control Naruto as a hokage by taking advantage of Naruto's fear & respect towards her. And that's what kinda bothers me. Naruto still doesn't have the courage to stand on his own against Sakura when it comes to everything else except combat. A Hokage should obey no one else.
I completely agree with you... to a degree...

All of the Ninja's from Naruto's generation, like Neji, Shikamaru, Shino ect... are all intelligent and rational... they know Naruto would be a bad choice to Run and Entire Nation...

However!! They all look at Naruto differently when it comes to fighting, to protect his friends he considers his family, and to defend the village he consider his home...

I think that just like during the last great war, when the 4th was made Hokage to lead the Konoha shinobi into battle...
Ultimately,

Naruto will become Hokage to fight and lead his fellow friends into battle...
He will win... and remain Hokage.
When he wins he will have become a mature adult, and will run the whole village.
He will sit in the Hokage's office, and meditate in Sage-Mode every so often, to recover his chakra from....
His multiple clones he uses to travel the world, much like Jiraiya, and help everyone along the way...

But before naruto becomes hokage he's gotta start thinking like one. He's still focused on the whole sasuke thing and if he stays focused on it while he is hokage it could danger the village greatly. Plus like you said he's not as rational as the other people which could also put the village in danger. if naruto does become hokage then he better get someone as his right hand man who is extremely rational and nothing like him, Shikamaru would probably be his best bet.

Yeah, I think that Naruto could actually defer the Hokage role to Shikamaru...

In Japan, the number three is considered the 'magic' number, which is probably the reason why Third lived so long as Hokage and the village was so peaceful during his reign. The number four is associated, due to the way its Kanji looks, with death, so I guess you could say that it was fated for the Fourth to die, and at a young age. Seven, in Japan, is viewed as the number of luck, so I think it would make sense that because Naruto has such a crazy amount of luck, that he become the Seventh Hokage, instead of the Sixth, and so, viola, we have a deeper meaning. Exactly what the maker of this thread said.

Just some history.

Well, here's what I found:

There are several unlucky numbers in Japanese. Traditionally, 4 and 9 are unlucky. Four is sometimes pronounced shi, which is also the word for death. Nine is also sometimes pronounced ku, which can mean suffering. 13 is also occasionally thought of as unlucky, although this is imported from Western culture. Because of these unlucky numbers, sometimes levels or rooms with 4 or 9 in them don't exist in hospitals or hotels, and particularly in the maternity section of a hospital, the room number 43 is avoided because it can literally mean "still birth." Therefore, when giving gifts such as sets of plates, they are normally sets of three or five, never four.
