That does apply even if its one technique or a thousand. If you don't have the chakra to balance the absorbed NE you'd be consumed by the side effects of using senjutsu.

No, because when one has mastery over Senjutsu, they can choose to apply Natural Energy within an attack or not which was even shown with BSM Naruto. The rule only applies when you draw in Natural Energy and are forced to mold it with your Physical and Spiritual Energy.
