I agree about tsunade and sakura. They get so much unnecessary hate. People are constantly saying they hope Sakura dies in the war, as well as saying that Tsunade is the weakest of the sannin, Sakura is useless as a ninja
....They act like they literally have no feats. Guess what people, Sakura beat Sasori and Tsunade kicked a lot of ass in the war and established the entire medical ninja system so....you fail.
Though i would say kishi doesn't really focus on the female ninjas very much at all, and has established the male ninjas as a much more dominant force. This is a common theme in a lot of movies/mangas and the like in popular culture though. That's just the truth of sexism.
As I've stated before, people just do that because they're used to like characters with overpowered jutsus and stuff like that.
They say that Sakura only beat Sasori just because of Chyio, when Chyio herself stated that after a point, Sakura read Sasori's fightin patterns and defeated him herself and in the mean time also taking care of Chyio.
As well goes for Tsunade who is a great medical nin and was able to keep an entire village safe.
Out of the Sannins she is in the middle, because it was clearly stated that she is stronger than Orochimaru (that's why he searched for her help) but also weaker than Jiraya while he was less stronger than Orochimaru.
It was a balance between the 3 of them. The simple rule of Toad, Slug, Snake...
But no, usually people have an infatuation for powerful characters as they like to somehow transpose their weakness in their fav. character's powers.
Is somehow simple psychology.
But oh well...
As for Kishi's sexism, is well known that he lacks at dealing with female characters. But it's ok in the end, I like them both as they are. They're not perfect, in the end even the most powerful character has its flaws.
