Yes, it has some faults, but I really dont think this game is as bad as some claim it too be, and certainly NOT a 5.3. CC2 has they're work cut out for them for Storm 4 thats for sure, and hopefully they take all this criticism in the right direction by not rushing the game like they did with this one (I really hope they take at least 3 years to make Storm 4, to remain faithful to the current story, as well as upgrading their tech for the next gen consoles). However this game still delivers what it promised: a good, solid Naruto game. The reasons why this game didn't live up to our expectations (and reviewer's expectations) is probably a mixture of both our concerns and CC2's concerns. We expected this game to be more than what it was, hence our disappointment. And CC2 made a gamble on this game, making decisions that were risky (using more cinematics than quick time events, using a new hack and slash system, etc), and while these decisions mostly failed I can see what they were trying to achieve. They just didn't know how to come about it. Hopefully the next Storm game they take the experience from this game and implement it into the game they intended to give us here.
Also, on a side note, this is probably the first mainstream reviewer I've seen accurately pronounce Naruto's name (kudos), and what's with these reviews spoiling major points to the game/story? Storm 2's review by IGN spoiled the epic climax to Naruto vs Pain. This game spoiled Madara. These are both things that are OBVIOUSLY important to the story (even by the gamers perspective). You dont see reviewers spoiling the ending to Halo 4 do you?
