the bijou bombs obito used were senjutsu as well and the tab withstood it
OT the reason madara and obito could manipulate the tsb so well was they they had already mastered shadow and light attributes before becoming jinchuriki naruto hadn't which is why he couldn't use it as well as them

Obviously PLOT influenced his battle against Sasuke extensively. also. its logical to assume those jubi damas didnt contain senjutsu since they didnt do anything to obitos shield when a far inferior attack managed to crack it a bit.

blockin with tsb would have failed. narutos knows his arsenal better than anyone so if he feels the need to gather shit amount of NE to combat bijusoosano and the arrow then it means nothing else he had would have mattered.
