Naruto is following a path. The same as Jiraiya did. Jiraiya couldn't get the girl and couldn't save his friend. Naruto said that someone who can't save his friend isn't worthy of being hokage. Besides that Danzou was chosen because

otherwise Kakashi was probably chosen. And maybe Naruto is the strongest in the leaf village but he's an idiot as well. He can't possibly run a country. He would crash the economy by decreasing the ramenprice by law.

You're right Fmgande because Gaara is the Kazekage and he even can't defeat Deidara and he is a ugly and not stong so you're right but Naruto is not strong enough.

Garra is a beast! Dude is way to ill and the only reason why Deidera captured him was because Garra elected to save the village instead of letting them die when Deidera threw that big ass bomb at the sand village.

And as I said before Naruto is not yet in the position to assume Hokage not that he is to young which he is but he is not at all understanding of the politics of being a hokage not only do you have to be skilled in a thousand Jutsu but you have to be well versed in the beaurocracy and politics as well I know this may seem too complicated but its tru among other reason this may be the biggest one the lack of ability to govern properly.

Danzo was chosen because the elders are the ones who decide, and they have never liked that Naruto was kept alive with the Kyuubi within him. If Naruto was suddenly chosen by them, it would be completely out of character for the Elders, they have more faith in their own than in Naruto, and Danzo has also been revealed to be using his sharingan to control people's mind, so it could also be due to that.

But, as Hokage Naruto would need to stay within the village, not allowing him to go after Sasuke every chance he got like he does now. And as he said, he does not believe that someone who could not save their friend could become Hokage. Until he brings Sasuke back, he will not accept the title.

All too true very well said plus Konoha needs stability right now and having a Jinchuuriki as Hokage when Madara announced he is after him and the recent attack on the leaf from Pain along with the 4th ninja war there is too much going on for Naruto to become Hokage just yet even though it would kind of be cool thats something we see towards the end of the series which is hopefully no where near being done.

The fifth will have Danzo killed and the sixth wont be Naruto but it will be Kakashi (only a guess) he has already been nominated and has the power and mentality to handle the task Kakashi is no pushover even Pain said that to leave him alive would prove troublesome in the future so I vote Kakshi for 6th Hokage its the only logical option considering the canidates for the position and so my boy Naruto will be aquiring god strength and ability. Before becoming Hokage Naruto must first bring back Sasuke.

Which is stupid if he makes gaara hokage

Why would it be stupid? Gaara is extremely strong, and as you seen at the summit the had the other leaders of the village besides Danzo agreeing with him in the end.
Gaara was a great choice to become the Kazekage, and as I said before his father was once the Kazekage (The guy who was killed by Orchimaru) that was Gaara's father.

Seriously some more "good" guys should die. Seems it's only the bad guys dieing.
The fat pig kid and Neji should have died back in the first part against the Orochimaru guys.
Kakashi should die in a epic way as hell,against either Kisame or Sasuke.
Would be awesome a fight between Sasuke and Kakashi.
This to say that Tsunade should die and Danzo take his place for in the end we have the obvious final with Naruto being elected Hokage.
